Do you have car parking available onsite?

Yes, we have 40 car spaces on site, and your guests are also welcome to park on Fenton Street. There is ample permit free parking on Fenton Street, and there are street signs to point out the permit zones. You are welcome to ask Ascot House to reserve a small number of spaces for any VIP guests including immediate family and elderly guests.

Is there an indoor ceremony option?

We provide you with an indoor ceremony option in case of inclement weather included in your ceremony fee of $750. For smaller weddings of up to 80 people, you are welcome to host your ceremony in our Garden Room in front of an open fire. For larger weddings of 80-200 guests, we recommend our front balcony that is an enclosed space with gas heaters for your guests’ comfort.

Do you allow for confetti or rose petals to be thrown at my ceremony?

Unfortunately, we do not allow for confetti to be thrown during the wedding ceremony. You are welcome to organize real flower petals to be thrown or for bubbles to be blown during your ceremony.

Do you cater for guests with dietary requirements?

Our Chef is happy to cater to all dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, lactose free, gluten free, and fructose allergies and nut allergies. Kosher meals can be arranged through an external Kosher kitchen for an additional fee.

Do you provide high chairs for young children?

Yes we will provide high chairs for any children as required at no additional charge.

Do you have a child meal and is there a discounted price?

You are welcome to arrange a child’s meal for any child you might think would be happier with a two-course meal. Our Chef will prepare a beef burger, chicken tenderloins, shoestring fries and a salad, and a freakshake for dessert. We recommend approximately 5 to 12 years old for child meals. Once you have met the minimum number requirement for your reception, child meals are half price of the per-person price for your reception.

Can I hire my own chairs for my wedding reception?

You are welcome to hire a different style of chair from an external hire company for your reception, please feel to speak with us for our recommended suppliers. Ascot House provides you with chairs, and your choice of chair cover and sash for your wedding reception included in your price per person.

Do you have recommended or preferred suppliers?

We are happy to offer you a complimentary wedding consultation where we will recommend our preferred suppliers to you, including from photography, videography, flowers, cake, bridal cars, suit hire, celebrants, and many more. Our preferred suppliers are not in-house do a fantastic job at a great price, however you are welcome to arrange your own suppliers.

Do you charge to cut the wedding cake?

We do not have a ‘cakage’ fee and are happy to cut and serve your wedding cake at no additional charge.

Do you have wheelchair access?

Yes, both our Chandelier Room and Grand Ballroom are accessible by wheelchair for your guests’ convenience.

Do you have a wishing well we were able to use?

Yes we do include a simple white wishing well for your use during your reception. The wishing well remains locked throughout your event, and you may nominate a family member to hold onto the key. The wishing well can be opened by yourselves or one of your family members.

Do you have a PA system we can use?

Our PA system is for background music only. Our best recommendation is to speak with one of our wedding consultants about entertainment such as a band or a DJ who have excellent equipment for music as well as microphones for your speeches.
