We recently had our wedding at Metropolis, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. We recently had the absolute pleasure of hosting both our wedding ceremony and reception at Metropolis Events, and we cannot recommend this stunning venue highly enough. From the moment we first visited, we were blown away by the breathtaking views over Melbourne’s iconic Yarra River and CBD skyline — it truly set the perfect backdrop for our special day. Throughout the planning process, we had the privilege of working with Event Coordinator, Natasha, who was simply incredible. Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and genuinely kind, Natasha made the entire lead-up to the wedding smooth and stress-free. She was always responsive and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was exactly how we envisioned it. On the day itself, the operations team were outstanding. A special shoutout to Lin and Tessa, who were not only professional and calm under pressure but also incredibly thoughtful and supportive — they made everything run seamlessly and allowed us to fully relax and enjoy every moment. The catering team also deserves high praise. The chef, kitchen staff, waiters, and bar staff were phenomenal. From the generous and delicious cocktail hour canapés to the beautifully plated entrees, mains, and desserts, every dish was met with glowing compliments from our guests. The food and service exceeded all expectations. Metropolis Events also offers an exceptional list of external partners and suppliers, including fantastic DJs, AV/technical support, and a fun photo booth experience — all of whom were absolute professionals and played a key role in making our wedding day unforgettable. We just had our wedding at Metropolis Events on the 7th June, 2025. It was such a perfect night. The venue really speaks for itself and you have so many options to "dress it up" even more or have something more simple, its really just the most beautiful canvas to work with. The floor to ceiling windows give a feeling of grandeur and space that you don't get with a lot of other indoor wedding spaces. There is also a large balcony with stunning views of the Yarra river. We had both our ceremony and reception here and being a winter wedding, this was perfect. There is ample parking on site, or, of course so many public transport or uber/taxi options. Once our guests arrived, they didn't have to go anywhere else and just cosied in for a fabulous night. The cocktails and canapes we had post ceremony were divine. The food here is really the best we came across, which was one of our main ticket items. I (the bride) did a lot of my own decorations and the staff were so accommodating of this and followed instructions easily to make a perfect set up. The guest bathrooms are also really beautiful and there are 2 "green rooms" or bridal suites that can be used for the bridal parties, they are a great size and something we really appreciated having access to. Natasha D was our wedding coordinator, Natasha made us feel really calm and supported the entire way through (this can be a really stressful time) so having that calm presence who you could trust was across absolutely everything, gave me that extra support and guidance I needed. Planning a wedding is a huge undertaking and after the first meeting, you will be given ample resources to help you from bands to live instrumentals, decorations, the works.
