When will our photos be ready?

We will provide you with a sneak peek within a few days of the wedding and an online gallery within 2 -3 weeks. We will deliver your USB/Keepsake box with the final images within 4-6 weeks.

Do you do pre-wedding shoots?

We do! We offer our lovebirds sessions, which is a great way to get to know each other all while offering you amazing photos or videos to celebrate your engagement.

Do you do elopements?

Absolutely, we know not every couple is alike and maybe a big wedding isn't your thing but you still want those stunning photos and or video to cherish for years to come, we have a package to suit you.

I’m Shyani (pronounced ‘Sharni’), a self-proclaimed multipotentialite, who loves cake decorating, reading biographies and painting with watercolour. Together with my partner Simon, who is our videographer/photographer, we formed Moments Photography.

What is your photography style?

We love natural light and will use it as much as possible to achieve a soft, bright and airy look. We like to observe, anticipate and document the day as it unfolds, allowing for as many natural and candid moments as possible to take place. We strive for consistency in our editing and shooting style, giving each photograph a clean and timeless, yet soft and bright look. We shoot a mix of journalistic and cinematic documentary style images.

Do you do videography?

YES! Simon is the videographer and we can put together a photo + video package to suit your needs.

What type of cameras do you use?

We both use professional grade camera bodies and lenses. Shyani shoots Canon, while Simon shoots Nikon - this gives us the best of both worlds and we love it!

We also use our 4K drone to capture those epic moments that you just can't get on the ground.

How far are you willing to travel?

We are based in Sydney and LOVE destination weddings both within Australia and around the world!

How many photos do we receive?

Each wedding is different and it will depend on whether you have booked one or two photographers. We do not impose a limit on the number of photos taken/delivered. You can expect approximately 50-100 edited high resolution images for every hour of coverage.

Shyani & Simon just photographed our wedding @ the cove, Jervis Bay in November this year. Both Amy and myself were blown away by everything they did for us. TLDR: Must have at your next event! It has been one year to the day since our wedding and we are still in awe of how perfect the photos turned out! Moments Photography captured every moment beautifully and gave us memories we will treasure forever. Simon and Shyani were the most thoughtful and kind people we have ever met! They talked with us about our wants and visions for our special day and went above and beyond. They listened to our concerns and made our day even more magical than we could have hoped! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHY. We loved, loved, loved our entire experience with the extremely talented Shyani and Simon, who captured my husband and I's elopement on a beautiful early sunrise shoot in Manly Beach. They were so flexible, kind and professional and the final result was simply stunning. Our photos are incredible, especially with the way Shyani and Simon creatively framed every shot. Is a wedding album worth it?

Not sure about this. Thinking we might just do our own wedding album online but then again, we're not very creative. And do all photographers do albums or would we be finding our own company for it?

Yes! We absolutely love the feel of the beautiful archival quality paper. Having your digital gallery is lovely but there's something about having something tangible to hold in your hands that is a nice reminder that your family will be able to enjoy these photos for generations to come.

How much to a tip wedding photographer?

I'm American and my wedding is in Aus... I still want to tip. Advice?

Do photographers always have a second shooter?

Moments Photography & Film

Photographers do not always have a second shooter, especially if the wedding is relatively small. You will see the benefits of having a second shooter when you need extra coverage during a larger wedding - they can spend more time with the guests, for example while your primary photographer maximises their time with the bridal party.

A lot of the time Simon (my partner) will be doing the videography for the wedding, while I focus solely on the photos and we've never had any issues not having a second shooter.
