Committed, caring & professional...Available to conduct your personalised wedding ceremony in Melbourne and throughout Victoria.

Congratulations on your engagement! Your wedding is your day and should reflect your vision as a couple. My role is to guide you through the entire wedding ceremony process, from our initial meeting of introduction, through to the ceremony rehearsal and the wedding day itself. I will assist you in personalising your wedding, ensuring your special occasion truly expresses your feelings, values and uniqueness as a couple. Your wedding needs to be enjoyable, meaningful and remembered forever by you, your family and friends.

I will arrive at your wedding ceremony well before the commencement time, be thoroughly prepared and dressed with style. I will have presence, but with a clear understanding that the day is yours.

Becoming a registered marriage celebrant was a logical career move. People fascinate me and I enjoy listening to couple’s stories of romance and hearing about their future dreams. I also enjoy a good celebration, especially one which marks a significant transition in life.

My office is in Hampton, so I'm available to conduct your ceremony in Melbourne's Bayside or inner-city suburbs. However, I'll travel anywhere within the Melbourne metropolitan area. Any further afield, I'd require reimbursement for petrol or accommodation and airfare costs.

In addition to my important work as a marriage celebrant, I am a freelance actor/voice over artist. All useful skills as a civil celebrant!

John is an exceptional celebrant. He is a genuine and talented man who has a beautiful voice and way with words. We, and our guests, thoroughly enjoyed listening to John share our love story. From our first meeting, John's experience and professionalism put us at ease. We were unsure about a few aspects of our ceremony and John gave us options to help us decide. One of his suggestions was to include a rose giving ceremony to our mothers. This was a beautiful moment that they will cherish forever. We strongly recommend John! Zoe & Sergio

John was the most perfect celebrant we could have hoped for. He is the ultimate professional and made us feel comfortable and cared for every step of the way. What we loved most about John was that he wanted the ceremony to be our version of perfect, allowing us to tailor it to our preferences and being all too happy to accommodate our requests. On the day, John was warm, articulate and had the perfect balance in facilitating the ceremony whilst not overstepping or taking attention away from Rachel and I. We couldn't be more grateful to John for bringing our love story to life and creating an atmosphere that we will never forget. John has been an absolute joy to work with. When we were looking for a celebrant, we wanted someone who was professional, charismatic and experienced. John checked all the boxes. He was transparent throughout the process, and always provided tremendous help during all stages of the planning. For example, John sent us example vowel wording, musical choices for each part of the ceremony (arrival of guests, bridal entrance, signing and exit) and made sure that our wedding ceremony was exactly how we wanted it to be. He organised a rehearsal for us and always assured us that he will be there for us in case of any issues. He was always free to answer any questions and even went above and beyond and did research on Chinese Tea Ceremonies to make the experience better for us. I would highly recommend John to anyone looking for a memorable ceremony!

John was an amazing celebrant, and terrific to work with. From our first contact he was courteous, professional, and generous with his time. We found John very helpful throughout the planning process, with excellent advice and the flexibility to work around all of our requirements and challenges: including several COVID related delays! Most of all, he took the time to get to know us, and to understand exactly what we wanted from our wedding. Together he helped us to design a wonderful, personal ceremony, and on the day his delivery was flawless. We couldn’t recommend John highly enough: he is clearly passionate about what he does, and we are both so glad we chose him for our wedding.

I'm so glad we chose John as our celebrant. He took the time to get to know us, to understand our relationship and our family, and he communicated this to our guests during our ceremony in the best way possible.
