They are the perfect statement accessory to any gown and can be custom made by dress designers if the gown you fall in love with doesn’t already have this stunning feature.
Off-the-shoulder
The off-the-shoulder trend continues to run strong and can be found in all sorts of amazing combinations in bridal gowns.
This offering from Nicole Spose pairs delicate lace with a mermaid silhouette, but the style looks amazing with high-collared gowns as well as strapless straight or sweetheart neck lines.
High Collars
You can’t get more high-fashion than a high collared gown. It just oozes sophistication and can be pulled off in a range of ways.
Think scalloped lace for a regal look, or you can go more modern with a choker-style satin band.
Streamer Sleeves
Sheer sleeves that flow into streamers give an ethereal look for brides and work to soften the overall look.
Because they add movement to the gown and have become a favourite this year for all styles of weddings.
Bows
Whether located on the shoulder, around a cinched waist or at the base of the spine above a full skirt, bows of all sizes are a truly feminine detail.
Plunging necklines
Almost every designer that has put out a collection this year has included at least one plunging v neckline, so it is no surprise it has been popular with brides.
Just be sure to have plenty of Hollywood tape on hand!
