Trained in London by some of the best designers & decorators, Katie creates stunning works of art that taste amazing. All her cakes and cookies are made using traditional recipes and ingredients.

All wedding cake designs are done by Katie. She can lend her skills to any decoration, size and shape - she is doesn't have a set style approach so can accomplish perfect cakes whether vintage, traditional, minimalist, contemporary, intricate or novelty. Trained in floristry to ensure perfect and safe floral decoration.

Katie was our instant choice in the early investigations for our wedding cake designer. Her professionalism and friendly approach to how she interacts with you, by listening to what your overall theme for your wedding will be, and suggesting recommendations on how she can help compliment her designs into your ideas for the entire evening. The end result, a grand centrepiece forgetting that this is an edible addition to your special day and stands out on its own but naturally flows from entrance, to first dance to the actual cake cutting. Fine tuning based on initial estimate of guests to final RSVP confirmed guests wasn’t a problem and responses and adjustments to cake size and costs provided for the end result were swift and made with ease. are semi nude cakes still cool or is it more retro

Love the semi naked cakes - great for garden and spring time freshness and less formal weddings. Definatley still cool. Super tasty and not as heavy especially for summer weddings and seriously - you can decorate with fruit or chocolate or flowers or fondant decorations - anything really. They are a super versatile cake and definately less on the budget as well.

Pav's are so super yummo but for me - especially if they are on display then it s cake all the way! Don't want the fresh cream to turn and besides - there are sooooo many fabulous flavours I can do so that it matches every course on the menu.

What is the average ccost of a wedding cake?

Honestly - how long is a piece of string. I think the better question would be how much per person to have a slice. I always say - for a more minimalist semi naked cake you could pay as little as $6.00 per person for a wee slice but in a highly decorated cake with vintage piping and sugar flowers and many tiers -fake and real then the sky is the limit. Variables include the number of guests and if the cake is the actual dessert or just a finger slice, flavours of the cakes, design and decoration, and delivery location. These are the very first questions I ask the couple. From there I can get a pretty exact costing.
