As of April 2022 there was no vaccination rules to be able to enter a venue. No need to check in. No density limits. No mask requirements, but some venues may prefer you wear one. Now having said all of this it is always best to check your local state Goverment web site for further clarification.

Hi Jeanette,

According to the Victorian website the update as of 2.3.2021 is the following:

- No more than 1 person per 2 sqm and there must be electronic record keeping at the venue.

- Up to 50 people can be on a dance floor if ther eis no more than 1 person per 4 sqm.

- Weddings at a private household are limited to up to 30 visitors + the members of the household (the celebrant and photographer plus babies under 12 months are not included).

I hope the above is of help to you. The info may be useful if you have had to push back on your wedding.

In South Australia, as in just about anywhere affected by the Covid-19 virus strains, the number of wedding participants can vary almost wildly from one week to the next.  IN example, the recent 'Six Day Lockdown' (only three days)  knocked the number back to virtually zero as everyone was in a complete lockdown.  Once the lockdown was removed, the number jumped up to 150.  Howver, this was also affected by the venue size and the space available to maintain a four square meter social distancing requirement.

We live by hopeful trends... hope the weather is good... hope the people wear masks if they are infected... and so very much more.  It is my sincere hope we can move out of this social distancing and limits on gatherings quickly, gracefully, and safely.

For the time being, ALWAYS check with  or call the following:

In Regional Victoria you can have 10 people plus celebrant and photographer. However, things change quickly and it is wise to keep an eye on government regulations.

You will need to check the Health Department website of your state or territory regularly, because the rules are different in each. As we all know they have been subject to rapid change this year too. It is a good idea to have a discussion with your celebrant about contingency plans for if things change for you.

As of Stage 4 Lockdown in Melbourne, the answer is zero. For Stage 3, a total of five consisting of the couple, your Celebrant and two witnesses. Note - Witnesses can also be an Interpreter or Video/Photographer. For Stage 2 onwards, please check with the Government website.

It is different in every State Jeanette. Best check with your state's Covid 19 Help Line as they will have the most current information for you.

But if someone has the virus, they should stay away totally along with anyone who lives or associates with them.

Hi Jeanette,

Where will your wedding ceremony and reception take place?  If your wedding is taking place in Queensland, according to the Queensland Government Health Department:

"Wedding ceremonies can have a maximum of 100 people regardless of the size of the venue.  It is important if you are unwell, that you do no go to a wedding.  A record of names and contact details of each guest must be kept for 56 days to assist in contact tracing if required."

I have included the link below for you to read further.

If you have any further questions, I am more than happy to assist.

Happy wedding planning Jeanette!
