FAQ
Beginning with a coffee date or fun chat via Zoom, I include unlimited correspondence as we work together to create your unique ceremony. I'll prepare your marriage paperwork for you, provide a reliable PA system, microphone and bluetooth speaker for your rehearsal and ceremony. Most importantly, I'll give you fun guide to write your wedding vows and help you finalise them and I'll also help you choose your ceremony music.
You will know because we’ll click! Let's catch up for a coffee to chat about your wedding ceremony. You can ask me as many questions as you like and you'll soon realise that my relaxed, warm-hearted and bubbly style is the right fit for you and your wedding day. Every Celebrant is different and it is important that you find the time to meet a few to find the right one for you.
I would love to! Initially, I will give you a guide and advice on how to begin writing your vows. When you have your first draft ready, I will review your vows and help you finalise them in time for your big moment. I remember how hard it was to write my own vows so I am more than happy to share some examples with you to get you started. I promise to keep your vows a secret from each other until your big day!
Absolutely! I will arrange a rehearsal date and time with you for either the day before or perhaps the weekend prior to your wedding day. After your rehearsal, you will have a clear vision of how your ceremony will roll out as we will practice walking down the aisle to your chosen song a few times. We will confirm where you and your bridal party will be standing, explain how to exchange your rings (without dropping them!), discuss where the signing table will be located and much more to take all the stress out of your ceremony and make you feel calm and excited about your big day.
This is entirely dependant on your personal preference, taking in consideration that you may wish to ask family or friends to read a poem or incorporate other elements into your ceremony. A wedding ceremony can run from 10 minutes to an hour.

Hi everyone! My fiance and I are French from birth but are now both recently Australian citizens. In countries like France or the UK you can have up to 6 witnesses (aged over 18 years old obviously) to be witnesses at your wedding. We were wondering if 2 is the max here in Western Australia or if it is the minimum number. If 2 is the minimum for the number of witnesses what would be the maximum number?

You are only required and allowed to have 2 special witnesses sign your marriage paperwork here in Australia.
Would like a family friend to conduct our ceremony how do we do this?

It's the sweetest to have a family friend conduct your ceremony and be part of your special day! You just need to book an Registered Celebrant to carry out the legal aspects of your ceremony, both within your marriage paperwork and certificates, and within the spoken content such as a Monitum (a paragraph which must be said to make your ceremony legal according to Australian law).
Should we have signs at our ceremony to leave the front row vacant for immediate family?
I was thinking maybe this is tacky, but then maybe it's necessary. (Or am I really just overthinking it?) Someone suggested that this is the role of the celebrant - to ensure that it's family in the first row. Is that generally true?

Hi and congrats on your engagement! In my 14 years of being a Celebrant, I have always found guests to be most respectful of the front row, with everyone appearing quite aware of the unspoken rule of "family only" in the front row. In fact, I often find it difficult to fill the seats and need to ask my guests to not be shy and take a seat to fill them all. Happy Wedding Planning!
