The refurbishment, led by the award-winning firm Luchetti Krelle (an award-winning Sydney based, architecture and interior design firm, its primary focus being in the hospitality sector), set out to balance the golden tones with soft silvery greys and ink blues, achieving a cooling counterbalance and a chic, contemporary look. The recently renovated rooms also boast high ceilings, natural daylight, and also possess an auto-adjust lighting system, which is great for the environment as it is energy-efficient. The lighting system also improves guest comfort by responding to the changing light levels required throughout the day - from brighter day time lighting scenes to soft and cosy lighting scenes for the evening. For the ultimate partying atmosphere, transform the ambience by using the blackout curtains.

The striking Whiteley Ballroom can cater to up to 210 guests in a traditional wedding set up with a spacious dancefloor and head table; alternatively, it can host 350 standing reception. The pillarless room enjoys natural light beaming through large windows overlooking Jamison Street, bespoke hanging golden pendants in the place of traditional chandeliers, a customised metal screen with bevelled mirror panels, and silken walls that set an impressive scene for your wedding day. With the capacity to seat 260 guests purely for dinner and no dancefloor and the ability to be divided into two separate spaces, this pillar-less ballroom is highly flexible and versatile.

For a more intimate venue, the sophisticated Hart Room, located on level 1 of the hotel, is a luxurious and light-filled space that features luxe modern furnishings and an inviting atmosphere that will benefit any style of wedding. The interior scheme of Hart Room departs from the traditional cold and lifeless function rooms that are typically found in hotels and instead are filled with the warmth of oversized, hand-beaten brass light shades and the warm texture of timber lining boards to the walls. Ideal for an intimate private dinner or wedding ceremony, Hart Room is the perfect space to host your wedding ceremony for up to 80 guests or an intimate dinner of up to 60 seated.
