Hi Bride

The recommended time a bride should take off before a wedding in up to 2 weeks and the same after a wedding if you are planning on a honeymoon.

If you have a wedding planner yiou can take less time the week prior to the wedding of 5-7 days.

Hope this helps

Hello Bride to Be and a huge congratulations!

I would definitely recommend taking time off in the week leading up to your wedding, at least two days.  Besides all the last minute pampering you will find that it is actually quite a stressful time as the pressure builds.  Allow some time to just chill.  It really makes for a more relaxed and happy Wedding day.  The same applies to time off after the wedding if you are not going on honeymoon straight away.  Don't underestimate the psychological shift that happens once you are married.  You and your groom will need and want time to just relax with each other, enjoy some time alone, and REST after the hectic time of planning and having your wedding.  If you can't take the entire week, at least three days would be fantastic.

Enjoy your journey to marriage and all the fun that goes into the planning

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

Min terms of having time off it depends on where and when you are getting married. I would recommend at least 3-4 days before you get married and the same after for recovery.

I know some don't take any time off but to feel at ease take some time off regardless of how long,

i hope this helps.

Hi Bride to Be!

Congrats on the big, special day!

If you are provided with Annual Leave, I suggest you use it to take a break before and after the Wedding.

About 2 days before the Wedding day to go get a facial, nails done with your bridesmaids, pack your bags of toiletries for the Wedding night and an outfit for the day after. Also I find that Brides like to get a hair treatment & spray tan in the leading days to the Wedding so it is best to do it a couple of days out - so that everything looks perfect and natural!

After the Wedding I suggest another two days off work, the first day you may be having a brunch, lunch and dinner with immediate family and friends that are visiting in town for your wedding. The next day you may want to organise your wedding gifts, prepare Thank you cards and do some social media posting/look over photos! But most of all relax before going to work.

Please keep in mind that you will also need Annual Leave for your Honeymoon if you are not going straight after your wedding :)

Happy planning - such an exciting time for you!

Cheers,
Janet
