We are up front with all of our planning costs. We provide our schedule of fees to all couples that engage us for an initial consultation.  

Planning a wedding can be a confronting and stressful experience. It can be a case of juggling a lot of different priorities, not only in your personal life but meeting requests from family especially can be challenging. A wedding planner is not only a great objective reference point for you to help bring your plans and ideas to life, but because we have done it before – we can hit the ground running with what you need and deliver every efficiency in getting our job done. This essentially saves you time, money, and gives you a great sense of feeling in control in the lead up to the wedding day. We can take on as little or as much planning as your life demands. 

A wedding coordinator’s job entails duties on the wedding day only where the couple has taken on the responsibility of all the planning in the lead up and just hands over a brief of the day to the coordinator. A wedding planner however is someone who has taken some/all of the planning responsibility off the couple in the lead up to the day and who may or may not be responsible for the successful execution of the event on the day itself as well. 

Your wedding planner at the venue represents the venue (and the venue’s best interest) and not you. They also have minimum involvement with planning the event and if anything are primarily involved in the food and beverage components and checking delivery and bump in and out movements of all vendors. They are very limited outside the scope of this, especially that which concerns any other vendor which is involved in your event prior to the commencement time of the reception. This includes hair and make up artists, photographers, videographers and those involved at the ceremony if it’s not in the same location as the reception. 

Yes, we accept direct debit EFT. Payments on most of our plans include two equal instalments, one upon booking and the other four weeks prior. However we can be very flexible to suit your needs, please let us know at time of booking.  

The largest event we have coordinated was actually a Health and Wellness Expo running over 3 days with more than 500 vendors and 10 000 visitors through the door.

Our medium sized events are usually 200 – 400 guests and our smaller events are between 50 - 150 guests (excluding elopements and smaller wedding dinners!).  

There is no wedding too small or too large that we would not undertake. 

You may be able to save time and money booking your ceremony and reception decor through Hunt and Heart. If you have hired us for Coordination, we are often able to supply materials if they are easy enough to carry in our vehicle including seating charts, ceremony programs, place cards, flowers etc. Larger items, decor, and materials that need to be packed up at a time outside of our service hours may attract additional delivery fees.

Plus one help please?

HI I have a slight problem and don't know the right way about it. A couple we have known for many years have separated, we have still invited each to the wedding individually. One, however, has sent back the RSVP with a plus one... How do I tell them that it is just them to come Thanks

Wedding etiquette is that if you only invite one person, there is no plus one.  I would suggest calling the guest who has added the plus one and just saying something like - we are so excited that you have accepted our invitation and are going to join us on our big day, however we are really tight on budget and numbers and the invitations are specific to the person on the invite.  Really sorry but we aren't inviting any plus ones .

Hope that helps.  It's always a tricky one going back to guests who do that.  I had that happen at my own wedding with two separate couples.  And a phone call is a much better way of dealing with it than text or email or anything that is not almost a face to face.  But don't feel that its your problem - its your wedding!!  your way!!

It completely depends on what type of wedding you want, how many guests, and how much you and your fiance can afford.  A relaxed casual wedding can be beautifully created with some ingenious budget saving ideas!!  We work with couples with all various budgets and most times these days the couple are paying for their own wedding.  Happy to chat and give you some pointers anytime.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a timeline for our reception?

I'm unsure when all the formalities should occur. Our reception is a sit-down dinner and we wish to include all the standard traditions, but want it to have a good flow and make sure theirs lots of dancing opportunities and fun! Our reception will last 6 hours including canapés. Thanks in advance.

HI and a huge congrats on your engagement!

We agree that your reception is basically about having a great big celebration and fun with your guests after the ceremony is over.  It is totally up to you how you plan the evening but our advice would be to get the speeches over really early in the reception and then intersperse the dancing with all your traditions which allows the guests time to have a break from dancing, a great laugh and some fun, and then back onto the dance floor.
