Wedding Planners Expert Advice

I'm unsure when all the formalities should occur. Our reception is a sit-down dinner and we wish to include all the standard traditions, but want it to have a good flow and make sure theirs lots of dancing opportunities and fun! Our reception will last 6 hours including canapés. Thanks in advance.

I fell like i have no idea what i am doing? What information does our MC require and how do i know what time to keep. Really just after any information about how a reception should run as in times and what information do certain people need?

We're having an evening, sit down dinner. However, I'm unsure of what order to have the formalities in and I want the evening to flow and not be too stop-start. We're after a fun, high energy wedding while still observing all the traditions. Thanks in advance!
