It's always exciting planning one and overwhleming all at the same time ! :) Brides have come to us just 2 weeks prior to their weddings and we have been more than happy to assist with planning and coordinating their special day. So planning a wedding with a 6 months timeline is defintitely possible. For the average couple without industry knowledge, it's possible, but not likely to be alot of fun! What you will find is you spend most of that time researching, sourcing, meeting with professionals and venues, and stressed out re the need to make decisions fast.  For some elements you need a little bit of time, such as invitations and pre-planning for guests, especially if travel is involved.   Also if you are particular about a venue you may need flexibility regarding availability.  

However, we as part of the wedding industry, can arrange all of the logistics of a wedding within a month - a week if we have to!  It's all about having done the research, having all service professionals in place and all the venues ready to go.   It's very simple when all the hard work has been done for you!

Six months is ample time to plan your wedding!  Depending on the time of year that you are wanting to get married the only thing that would need some urgent attention is your choice of venue.  If you are wanting to get married in March for example - this is the busiest month of the year in Australia for weddings with most venues getting booked out quite early.  But there are always alternative options if you were wanting March.  We find that most couples work with us from between 8 - 4 months prior to their weddings with no pressure and everything coming together beautifully as planned.  We have even done weddings with only 4 weeks to go where the couple worked with us to get invitations done online, dresses bought and venue styled and booked within three weeks of the wedding.  Happy to provide any further advice with your planning.
