We found Kevin after seeing his wedding photos for three couples in our broader social circles and hearing of their positive experience. When we asked him about how he makes his subjects feel comfortable (because we aren't used to the spotlight!) he said that his goal is for us to see him as just another guest, which was comfortably achieved on the day. We felt directed as necessary without being overly posed. Kevin is very knowledgeable about the best spots for iconic photos and lighting in the Sydney area, which we took full advantage of. We particularly loved the location he picked out for our engagement photos. He was extremely responsive and organised, ensuring that photography was not of the crises we had to worry about on the big day. We also received the wedding photos much earlier than we expected!

Leading up to our wedding, Kevin scheduled a catch-up to understand our preferences and walk us through the schedule. He was flexible with changes as our plans evolved and stayed highly communicative throughout the process, which gave us confidence heading into the big day. On the wedding day itself, despite the rain, Kevin arrived on time and was ready to go. He did an incredible job capturing all the key moments without ever being intrusive - from our Chinese ceremony to the western ceremony and the reception. He blended seamlessly into the background, taking countless candid shots that truly captured the natural joy and emotion of the day. Even though the rain persisted during our couple shoot, Kevin leaned into the situation and used it to create fun, unique, and memorable moments. His calm, polite presence was never overwhelming and definitely helped keep my wife relaxed. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive our photos just two weeks after the wedding. Before opening them, I felt a little apprehensive - sometimes a photographer’s portfolio doesn’t quite match their actual delivered work. But Kevin absolutely delivered. The shooting style and colour grading were 100% consistent with what we saw in his portfolio and exactly what we had envisioned for our wedding photos. We couldn’t be happier with the results and have no hesitation in recommending Kevin to any other wedding couple.

He and Nathan took such unique shots and were so unintrusive on the day that we barely needed to do any posing at all (highly important for 2 people who normally hate taking photos). Having been part of bridal parties before, this photography experience was completely different, Kevin and Nathan just did their thing, there was no awkwardness or need for rigid posing. Words can’t fully express how grateful we are to Kevin Lue Photography (Particularly Kevin, Matt and Phong) for being our media team on our wedding day! Our absolute dream team! When we first began researching wedding photographers and videographers, Kevin's name was everywhere. Everyone was eager to refer him. We then realised Kevin had actually been the photographer for my now-husband's brother. His outstanding quality in capturing the little moments, and manipulating lighting and colour, was something we really admired. From our first meeting, Kevin brought such a kind, positive and professional energy. He was attentive to all details, incredibly receptive to our ideas (including a basketball and boba engagement shoot!) and consistently prompt when replying to our messages/emails. Our engagement shoot was very fun! He let us immediately begin playing basketball while he blended into the background. As we walked to Central to get our boba, he gave us great direction to capture the perfect shots. We also still cannot understand how he managed to get such unique and creative angles in our more stylistic shoot at La Perouse. I believe he may have also pulled a muscle trying to get a running shot (apologies Kevin!). The engagement shoot embodied who we are as a couple without compromising on quality. Every emotion, every detail, every candid laugh was captured beautifully. On the day of the wedding, the team brought such a calming and enthusiastic energy that made us feel completely at ease. My bridesmaids even commented afterwards that they had forgotten they were present! We received our photos and videos within 6 weeks of the wedding. And we are completely blown away by the results! We love how the team were able to capture the little moments and the little smiles throughout the day. They captured amazing photos of our loved ones and we are so excited to look back on these photos and videos for many years to come. Thank you so much Kevin Lue Photography! We were lucky enough to have been able to work with Kevin & team for over 3 of our special days: our engagement shoot, tea ceremony and wedding day - we are so glad with this decision and would like to show our gratitude. Kevin is great at making sure we were comfortable during our shoots and allowing our moments to be captured naturally. Another thing we really appreciate is that Kevin’s always been a great communicator from the beginning - clear communication and prompt responses leading up to the shoot days and during the shoot days themselves; whether it’s questions about the shoot or ideas for locations, etc. All our albums’ turnaround times were adequate - all returned with many, many beautiful contents. They capture the emotions of the day perfectly- We love that there are plenty of photos of the guests and details too to remember by.
