About The Woodhouse Wollombi – Redwood Park sits 3km from the historical village of Wollombi, in the Lower Hunter Valley. Only 1.5 hours north of Sydney, and 1 hour from Newcastle and the Central Coast, Redwood Park offers a beautiful and private setting for weddings and receptions.

With total on site accommodation for up to 17 people, packages cover either 1 or 2 nights, so that couples can enjoy their country wedding without stress or pressure.

Redwood Park is an 100 acre property with stunning manicured grounds, and the centre of which is a lake bounded by willows, paperbarks and casuarinas. Carefully landscaped, the property is rich in seasonal colour in autumn and spring. Winter provides the opportunity for romantic fires while in summer our couples enjoy long warm nights.

As one of the Hunter Valleys finest wedding destinations, Redwood Park offers a numberof locations for the ceremony and post ceremony celebrations. These include our lakeside pavilion, the canopy of paperbarks or willows overlooking the lake, the pines or our fabulous rolling lawns to name a few. Amidst this relaxed rural setting, for your reception, Redwood Park offers The Woodhouse. A unique purpose designed space with bespoke fittings and fixtures which can be decorated to your personal style.

The Woodhouse is an elegant timber building with a rustic but refined European elegance to it. Every detail has been well thought out. Think soaring 7m ceilings, 4m windows, freestanding fireplace, inside/outside bar, huge outdoor undercover dancefloor/lounge area covered in fairy lights, outdoor firepit with integrated lounge seating and entertaining courtyard. This is all complemented by a commercial sound and PA system.

About

My husband and I have owned the property for over 18 years. It has really become a labour of love having planted over 5500 trees and it puts a smile on our faces when we host weddings knowing that they have chosen our property for their special day. When we are not working on the property, we love hanging out with our son, enjoying good wine and food with family and friends, travelling and of course always thinking about what we will do next with the property.

To confirm your booking and secure your date, we require a $1000 deposit.

Unfortunately no.  We use Fennel & Co are who amazing and can cater to your needs.  Where possible we try and buy local to support our local communities and have a paddock to plate philosophy.  Fennel & Co try to be as flexible as possible and provide the highest level of support to make sure  your days goes perfectly and yur guests raving about the food.

The property can accommodation a total of 17 people.

 - 15 guests in The Barnbstay which is a coverted 100 year old barn which has been renovated; and

 - 2 guests in our luxurious bridal suite.  The bridal suite was completed in 2023 and offers a massive 90sqm plus private courtyard with outdoor shower and a separate firepit.

We are looking at adding further accommodation (up to an additioanl 16 people in separate suites but that won't be available until late 2024)

Yes, we are a licensed venue  and provide a range of package options to suit your budget including by consumption.  

At The Woodhsoue Wollombi we have you covered!!  At The Woodhsoue itslef, there is  a large outdoor undercover area which we host ceremonies in the event of bad weather.

Yes there, you will have a dedicated event manager who will be onsite the entire day to make sure your day runs smoothly as is as stress free as possible.

The Woodhouse is a beautiful boho/rustic venue with lots of places to hold your ceremony, and an amazing wooden reception. Casey, the venue manager, looked after us since the moment we asked to look at The Woodhouse for our wedding. It was honestly like having a personal wedding planner - nothing was ever too difficult for her and she made sure the whole day ran seamless. There was so much freedom as well to have we wanted and do what we wanted with decorations, table arrangements. Our final venue price is inclusive of venue hire, accommodation inc. the bridal suite and also the drinks package and bar staff hire & also lawn games for cocktail hour (Which was a massive hit). Overall, I'd like to get married here every year if it was possible. 10/10 recommend this beautiful venue - with bonuses of having the entire venue to yourself!

The new Woodhouse building is stunning and we were so pleased it was ready for our big day in Sep 2018. The only reason for 4 stars, not 5, is that the building was only finished a few weeks prior (behind schedule) so that caused a bit of worry/stress in the lead up, but otherwise we were very happy with how things turned out. We wanted a building that we could add some individual touches to without having to be full 'DIY'. This was the perfect fit. Thanks to Gabrielle and Chris. You've created something really special. (PS The Barnstay accommodation was wonderful. My family loved our stay.)

The barnstay is an absolutely beautiful location. They were in the middle of building a barnhouse when we booked it and we hoped it would be ready for our wedding but unfortunately it wasn't. Looking for a late finish venue?

Hi There, I am marrying a beautiful Argentinean next year. We are trying to blend the 2 cultures with our wedding but are finding it very challenging. One of the key cultural issues is the finish time of the weddings - there weddings finish at 6-8am (no joke) and ours finish at 11pm! At present we are trying to find a venue that can host us till 2-3am. (150 people) - with a later start as well. Any suggestions!? Thanks!
