How long does it take to get my photos and wedding album?

After your wedding, we’ll be just as excited to share the photos as you, so here’s what we’ll do.

Within a week of the wedding, the highlights and the story of your day will be up on our blog for you to share with friends and family.

Within two weeks (or as soon as you get back from your honeymoon) we can be sitting down with you to watch a slideshow of the entire wedding day on our big screen. We’ll also have a draft of your album ready for that day, and we’ll put the finishing touches on it together (with the help of some wine and pizza).

After we have completed any edits you have requested, we will send you an online proof of your album design for approval. Once that's done we will create an online gallery and USB of all the images for you.

Then you need to allow around 10-12 weeks (usually sooner) for production and your beautiful album is ready to show off!

How will you handle my overbearing mother / drunk uncle / paparazzi auntie or my slightly-jealous-of-all-the-attention-I’m-getting bridesmaid?

The best wedding photographers have the kind of personality that can get the best out of people even in stressful situations. If your photographer is likely to freak out at the slightest hint of family stresses or politics, well … nod, smile and walk away.

Apart from spending a lot of time getting to know our couples before the wedding day, our secret weapon in stressful situations is that we’re both very smiley. We understand that you might need a bridezilla or a groomzilla moment, and I promise we won’t judge you for that!

Be assured, we have been photographing weddings for more than 10 years, so we have lots of tricks up our sleeves :)

How long do I need to allow for photography on the day?

The short answer is.... it depends! Just a few questions we will ask you: Where are you getting ready? How long is your ceremony? What time is sunset?

Armed with this information, we will plan out a great schedule together  at your initial enquiry meeting with plenty of contingency for traffic, weather, etc to give you a smooth, stress-free day, and ultimately a much better set of pictures because … well, calm people are better looking.

If your schedule doesn’t work well, or if you need to consider options like doing photographs before the ceremony, we can guide you through all the options.

Very roughly though, we usually allow:

Bride's dress and details: 45min

Groom preparations: 1hr

Bride preparations: 1hr

Pre-ceremony: 30min

Ceremony: 30min

Congratulations and family photos: 30min

On-location shoot: minimum 90min

Reception: 2-5hrs

Just don't forget to add travel times!
