FAQ
YES! It's no secret I adore travelling. My work and clients have taken me to numerous locations all over Australia such as Byron Bay, Bowral in the Southern Highlands and as far overseas as California, Hawaii, Phuket (often) and New Zealand. I welcome travel all over Australia and 3 destinations overseas per year.
Yes! I photograph using a blend of medium format film (120mm), 35mm, and digital to create a cohesive, bright, and timeless gallery. For over eight years, I’ve been perfecting the art of combining both mediums seamlessly within my workflow.
Film brings that beautiful softness, depth, and fine art quality to your portraits, while digital ensures every candid laugh, tear, and fleeting moment is captured as it naturally unfolds. Together, they deliver the perfect balance — elegant, light-filled imagery that feels effortless and true to your day.
90% of the time I have my assistant with me, and if required and specified, a second shooter. This is optional and to the discretion of the couple after we’ve discussed this option with you. Each wedding is unique in its own way, and some smaller intimate weddings don't require having a second shooter, so we suggest investing this money into an album or engagement session instead.
My all-time idols in the photography realm are all film shooters. Having learnt from one of them is a real dream: Erich McVey. The other photographers I’m inspired by are Jose Villa, KT Merry and Lauren Fair. You must check out their work — you'll see why I fell in love with the medium of film!

Hey,
You've done a great job planning out the timeline already. Here is what I'd recommend and remember to allow wiggle room in between so you can take a moment and reflect, and enjoy your day too :)
12:30 pm - Boys prep
1:30 pm - Girls Prep
2:30 pm - The photograph arrives at the ceremony
3:00 pm - Ceremony
3:30 pm - 3:50 - Family Photos
10 min - Breathing room
4:00 pm - 4:30 pm - Wedding Party Photos
4:30 pm - 5:30 pm - Bride + Groom only photos (30 - 45 mins is ok as well depending how many locations you'd want to be covered)
Wishing you an incredible wedding experience :)

What happens during a pre-wedding or engagement photo shoot?
I think an engagement shoot could be nice but I'd love to be more comfortable about what normally happens at one of these, obviously it's different to the wedding. I'm pretty awkward in front of the camera.

Hey,
This is a great question and one that comes up with many of my couples. There is a bit of a difference between the two, A Pre-Wedding and an Engagement session.
PRE-WEDDINGS are most likely a portrait session where you're all dressed up in your wedding attire and we have a few hours typically 2 or 3 depending more focusing on your romantic bridal portraits only. This is very suited to most Asian wedding couples who don't actually have time on their wedding day to have the wedding portrait section captured or couples if who want those EPIC landscape portraits like in Queenstown or something.
Engagement sessions are all about your engagement journey and telling the story of your love. They are super fun, relaxed and chilled so you can get used to being in front of the camera. You want beautiful photos, yes, but It's more about you getting comfortable with your photographer and being in front of the camera, so on your wedding day you're no longer nervous ??. Your session can be whatever you desire, I tell my couple to choose a place, location that has meaning to them so the story of your love can be told with purpose.
I have a great article here for you to view that dives deep into 'WHY ENGAGEMENT SESSION MATTER', I know you'll love this.
