Hi, I am the Creative Director and head stylist for Susan Avery Flowers and Events. Our team are all florists as well as wedding/event stylists. We can help with any of your floral/styling needs. We are the most experienced team of wedding decorators in Sydney. Every member of our team has multiple years of experience. We keep abreast of all current design trends. Hello, There are always beautiful flowers available in Sydney.
We're in a very fortunate position due to all the differesnt growing climates available in Australia.
Some seasons we have more varieties than other times but there is always something gorgeous to use.
The prices have increased since the Covid pandemic started due to increased frieght and labour charges.
At Susan Avery Flowers and Evnts we have always ordered our wedding flowers early to ensure we get what we want.
We are one of the largest buyers in Sydney with over a 40 year track record to purchasing form the wholesalers
so they always look after us.

Flowers to avoid for allergies
This is weird but I suffer from allergies - are there any flowers I need to avoid in my bouquet? Do cut flowers still make you allergic? Thanks.

Hello, In my experience allergies vary enormously. Most often, however, it is the strongly scented flowers that cause reactions.
This includes lilies,hyacinth,jasmine & tuberose,
Also, flowers covered in pollen such as Australian wildflowers including kangaroo paw and flannel flower.
I have found unscented roses, tulips, ranuncula, phalaenopsis and other unscented orchids to all be safe for my many bridal couples.
I do advise taking a Claratyne (antihistamine tablet) on the day just to be sure.
