Dale was an absolute delight to have at our wedding. The pre-wedding chats were great to get a feel for what kind of shots were important to us, and, even more importantly, he took that feedback to heart when taking photos on the day. We have so so so many beautiful photos of us, the wedding party, and our guests laughing and having an amazing time. He has a great eye for interesting backdrops, even in places you wouldn’t think would be a typical wedding photo spot. There were at one point three other couples having photos done at the Opera House on the day and I’m still pretty sure our photos are the best.

Brittany was brilliant to work with throughout our wedding journey. Friendly, professional, and very accommodating when it came to lockdown setbacks. I had very little direction on what I wanted, but she took what I did have and created a look that was perfection. On the day, she and her assistant showed up exactly when she said they would and got right to work on my 3 bridesmaids, mother of the groom and myself. The makeup lasted all day - we touched up my lips after taking the mask off and that was it. Highly recommend her services.

This was the first store I visited (Sydney Location) and I’m pretty sure the experience ruined me for any other store after that. Sevi was so warm and enthusiastic and there was a great selection of dresses for a street size 14/16. The entire visit was fun and giggly, and I was more than happy to go back for “the one”. Organising my fitting was an adventure, thank you Covid, but Tiana was very helpful in scheduling, and rescheduling appointments to make sure I still got everything sorted in plenty of time. I felt like a princess on the day - thank you, ladies!

Bill came recommended to us from multiple sources, and after meeting with him and sampling his creations it was clear why. His cakes taste amazing, and he’s a genuinely nice guy to work with. The final product was exactly what we had envisioned after our meeting, and I’m not sure there were very many leftovers to speak of. Thank you, Bill, for helping us with one of the most important parts of our day!

Everything about the flowers was amazing. The bouquets matched my hair and worked perfectly with the bridesmaids dresses. The boutonnieres with Lego minifigs looked great on the men. Our ceremony and reception were in hotel function rooms and we were a little worried about them being too “hotel-y” but Susan fixed that for us wonderfully and worked with us to find ways to recycle florals so we could save a little money while still looking great. Highly recommend her work!

One of the most consistent pieces of feedback we got from our wedding guests was how absolutely fantastic Stephen was. We agree wholeheartedly. The ceremony was beautiful and funny and very true to us as a couple. It really showed how much he paid attention while learning about us and our story. To our guests, it was as if he had been friends with us for years. As our MC, the tone and mood continued to the reception, and it was great knowing he had our timetable under control. In the lead-up, he was personable and easy to reach if we needed anything, and very on top of the changing circumstances with regards to Covid restrictions and lockdowns. We are so glad we chose Stephen as our celebrant and MC, and so so glad he was able to reschedule with us (twice!).

Marriage Celebrants

The Sir Stamford is a beautiful venue, but what cemented our decision to book with them was the way we were treated at the initial tour. The team definitely went out of their way to make us feel like our business was important to them. Unfortunately, there was a bit of staff turnover between our original booking and finally getting to our date, but every event coordinator we spoke with took the time to make sure we had all the details just right during the handover. Kay’s assistance was much appreciated as we got closer to the date, both in organising some very last minute guest changes and by organising a private high tea so we could spend some quality time with family the day before the wedding. Hotel staff were very kind about letting us into the function room the night before so we could figure out last minute

Wedding Venues

We are so glad we asked DJ Jess to be a part of our day! She hit our cues perfectly for the entrance, exit and cake cutting songs, and worked our guest requests into the playlist in a way that flowed beautifully. We had a good chat over Zoom before the wedding to meet properly and discuss the run-sheet, which was very helpful for getting our head around the day. She also has a fabulous list of cake songs which ended up inspiring some of our other song choices for the day. Special shout out to Jo - that initial phone call absolutely put us at ease with the entire booking process, and she rolled with our lockdown scheduling uncertainty with such grace. Would definitely book with this team again next time we need a DJ!
