Rebecca Greenberg, decorator and founder of Greenberg & Co Cakes, discovered their love for the delicacy of baking while pursuing a traditional fine art degree and struggling with food intolerances.In 2011, Greenberg & Co Cakes opened in Sydney, Australia offering a wide selection of unique services including extravagant cakes, deliciously edible art and a compassionate alternative to traditionally decorated cakes.

I'd like to have vegan and gluten-free options for my wedding cake. Is that doable? Can most types of cakes be made gluten-free or vegan? Would there be an extra charge for that? Thank you.

All of our weddings cakes are vegan! We have a full range of unique flavours and are happy to customize things for you as well. Nothing we make contains any animal products. They can also easily be made gluten free as well. We do not charge extra for this as we don't believe people with dietary needs should have to pay more for something they can't control. How far in advance do we need to book a wedding cake?
What's the usual lead time on a wedding cake including tastings please?

We are happy to chat as soon as you have some of the main details in place for the wedding. However, generally, people start about 6-9 months before their wedding, especially for popular spring and autumn dates. Tastings are easy to arrange quickly.
Do wedding cakes have fake tiers?
Greenberg & Co Cakes
Wedding cakes can have fake tiers made of styrofoam if someone wants a cake larger than they require and don't want leftovers. Fake tiers are also normally used when a cake is over 15" in diameter as they are way too heavy in that large size. Foams do not make a cake much cheaper as they still need to be decorated, covered in icing. I give a small discount per tier of foam used, to offset the savings from not having to bake. Hope that helps :)
