Jane married us at The Barn Hopeland on Tuesday afternoon. During the lead up to our most amazing day Jane was so kind and understanding of our desires. Jane made the whole experience simple but so magical all at the same time. She helped us with our vows, walked us through our legal obligations and pulled the groomsmen in line when they stepped off their marks 🤣. If we ever decided to renew our vows Jane will be our woman!

We first contacted and met Jane in November 2023 for our Wedding in December 2023. From the moment we first met Jane we knew she was the right choice for ourselves and for any couple considering a Celebrant. We found Jane to be friendly, quick to reply, and professional. Jane has many years of experience as a Celebrant which was evident through her suggestions for the wedding day including music and set up of the Ceremony. Jane was very accommodating in assisting and working with us on some of our special conditions for our Wedding. Jane has many ideas and a well planned structure for any Wedding Ceremony; this allows for the best Wedding Ceremony possible where Jane and the couple can agree on the wording and structure of the Ceremony. We found the experience and process from start to finish very easy, structured and professional. Jane was so involved and passionate about our Wedding even after many years in the industry and was able to offer a wealth of knowledge regarding the set up of the Ceremony as well as finalising the legal side of things. On the day, Jane was elegant and friendly with all guests. We are glad we were able to work with someone so nice and passionate about our Wedding. Jane has a nice personality, well suited to be a Wedding Celebrant, and is able to make anyone feel at ease. Friendly, accommodating, structured and professional. Recommended.

Does the bride go on the Honeymoon with her maiden or married name?

If you booked your holiday before you are married with the travel agent and flights paid and booked the holliday in your maiden name then you travel by that name. Cheers, Jane Silich :)

Is it bad to have my guests sitting in the sun?

What if it's really hot? It's a feb wedding. What can I do to ensure no one faints? :/

The best advice would be to think how you would feel sitting in the sun. The old, the young and the facts are that people arrive early, so it is too long to expect hot sun to be acceptable. Use Umbrellas, move under the trees, and have plenty of water makes for a really comfortable wedding. Also your make up will run in the sun, and the groom will feel like melting in this warm suit. Hope this answers you question :) Celebrants like myself will need to be able to read the script in shade too. Music people also expect shade. :) All the best, Jane Silich - Celebrant.

Can I request my celebrant to wear a certain colour or outfit?

I've seen some awful clashing outfits and celebrants in white etc... is it rude to ask them to wear a particular colour or style? I don't know if I'm taking it way too far haha. But I want everything to look good! It is my wedding day, after all :)

Hi Keira, As I am a full time Celebant, I for one would want to dress in a colour to suit the wedding and as I come from the fashion industry in my previous job running my own businesses, I know how important dress is for the special day.
