Jessie is a stylish, fun, energetic and creative celebrant who will take the time to listen to you throughout the process and create a ceremony that flows well, engages your friends and family, and expresses what it is that makes your bond so special.

The devil is in the detail: with a background as an actor, artist and stylist, Jessie realises how important it is that your service is unique and distinguished by fresh ideas. Jessie will deliver you a heartfelt, fuss-free ceremony executed with the ultimate in professionalism – with your own stamp firmly upon it.

“My aim is to craft a ceremony that is beautiful, expresses what it is that makes your bond so special and engages your family and friends.” Every ceremony I create is individually written and designed to tell your story. All clients receive my 70 page booklet titled ‘Your Wedding.’ This booklet is a gift from me to help you select the details that will make your ceremony unique. It contains poems, readings and useful information to help personalise your wedding event.

I’ve done so many now – 1000 – (I’m not kidding) – and I’ve learnt a lot along the way. It’s true what they say – experience really counts. With a background in both fine art and acting, I have a flair for the visual. I adore a vintage frock (ok I’m obsessed) and can beautifully colour match (or not) to the theme of your wedding. I love Wagon Wheels, sweet cocktails and interpretive dance….and the inevitable belly laugh which follows. Jessie x

FAQ

Do we need to memorise our vows?

Of course not! I want you to be relaxed on your special day. I will have them neatly printed out on card for you to read from during the ceremony. Your vows are sacred promises that you are making to each other and should be between you only.

What if it's a really hot day?

The view is not always everything! Your excited guests will all be there early – and the ceremony will go for at least 25 minutes. The groom and his groomsmen will be in suits and there are usually elderly present. (Not to mention me and all your other fantastic suppliers working under boiling conditions).

Australian summers are very hot and there is nothing worse than sweaty, shiny uncomfortable looking people in photos. If there is a shady tree option, please take it. And water for everyone please. It costs very little to supply bottles of water.

How long will the ceremony go for?

I always suggest that you approximately leave 30 - 40 minutes depending on the size of your bridal party, and if you are including readings or rituals.

That's from the time we first see a bridesmaid on her way down the aisle, the ceremony, the kiss, the signing, and the happy couple making their exit down the aisle.

Well, well, well….. I am a very stylish Marriage Celebrant. I have a large selection of vintage dresses. I always make an effort to co-ordinate as best I can to your bridal colours and style.

From searching online and looking at Jessie’s Instagram posts you can see how much she truly loves what she does. After short listing a few celebrants we booked in our initial meeting with Jessie, it was such a success… we stopped looking and booked her in! She is so passionate about her career and takes time to walk you through the processes (literally and figuratively), paperwork and planning for the ceremony, personally tailoring your script and checking in with you every step of the way. Jessie’s communication is impeccable from beginning to end. Jessie brought her abundant positive energy and joy including a beautiful smile. We were so happy to have Jessie with us, her involvement helped us to enjoy every moment. Her calming voice, smooth transitions and quiet instructions throughout meant the ceremony happened exactly as planned. She is our celebrant rock star and we HIGHLY recommend her!!!

Jessie was all kinds of fantastic from the lead-up right through to the day itself. From the moment we met her we knew that she was the one! We actually cancelled our other celebrant meetings we still had after this since we just clicked straight away. She makes something that can seem quite daunting super straight forward and provides great guidance in regards to what is needed to make the day run smoothly (including actually physically walking us through the ceremony at her house..!). Really warm and friendly with just the right amount of professionalism, personality and charm to make sure that you are the centre of attention on the big day itself. I'd rate 6 stars if it were an option!

As per our Facebook review, Jessie was the first person we locked in for our wedding in December 2015. We had our garden ceremony at Centennial Park, and it was perfect. From the very first meeting, she put us at ease straight away! She's super organised, she thinks about everything, and is incredibly warm and personable. It's no surprise she's the busiest celebrant in Sydney, she's the ultimate pro at what she does - but also just a really cool person! Thanks so much Jessie for being part of our day, (besides Dave's kick ass vows haha!) you made our ceremony amazingly special and we're very grateful!

How can I pay tribute at my wedding to my dad who's no longer with us?

Dad passed away 12 months ago. Would love some ideas how I can still include him somehow.

A way to honour the memory of a loved one who has passed is to include them in some way in your ceremony.

For example:

Perhaps pin onto the bride’s dress something which belonged to the person
Lighting a candle for one minute’s observed silence (not appropriate for an out door ceremony)
A photo of the loved one is placed on the signing table
Have a pendant made with a photo of your loved one and attach it to the brides bouquet

Your celebrant can put together something specific – or as personal as you would like but here is a simple example.

Todays celebration of love is shared in a different way, by those who have passed beyond this life. Their roles in the lives of Bride and Groom are no less remembered and honoured as we savour today’s joyous moments.
