A country wedding theme did nothing to water down dress codes on the September 21, 2013 marriage of Zoe Robertson to Jason Spiteri.
Roomba’s at Mount Aitken on the picturesque outskirts of Melbourne was the hero of the country setting, with its historic bluestone exterior, exposed beams, magnificent feature staircase (that once commanded attention in South Melbourne’s Masonic Lodge) and homely ambiance.
The Melbourne couple contrasted this with styling usually reserved for city ballrooms. Zoe, 25, graced an elegant lace Anaessia gown, Christian Louboutin heels and Tiffany & Co. earrings (a 21st birthday gift from Jason), whilst her maid of honour sparkled in a sophisticated Matthew Eager maxi.
Jason, 24, looked dapper in his black Politix tuxedo, bow tie and high-shine shoes, whilst a string quartet added to the refined atmosphere for ninety-seven.
“Even with the benefit of hindsight there is not one thing we would change about the day even if we could,” smiles Zoe. “I got to marry my best friend in front of our closest family and friends. It was a true reflection of our personalities.”
The pair finished off the night in five star luxury at Melbourne’s Grand Hyatt.
