"Love is an open door": Eliza and Ahmet's Bramleigh Estate wedding

After a fairytale proposal, Disney fans, Eliza and Ahmet knew they needed an equally magical venue for their May 20, 2022, wedding for 185 guests. Bramleigh Estate’s peaceful surrounds and timeless reception space were the perfect fit.

“Ahmet and I used to listen to Disney songs on our beach trips,” explains Eliza. “Early into our relationship, we were singing the song ‘Love is an Open Door’ from Frozen. There’s a part that says, ‘Can I ask you something even crazier; Will you marry me?’ So, I said, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if you proposed to me with this song one day?'”

A little down the track, Ahmet devised a romantic beach proposal to echo this moment, combining candles, rose petals, a ‘Will You Marry Me’ sign, and, of course, their song. After a resounding “YES!” from Eliza, the happy couple began wedding planning with a refreshing take on the process. “We didn’t really have any expectations or anything envisioned,” remembers Eliza. “We just wanted to spend the day surrounded by people that we loved and have the best day of our lives.”

Bramleigh Estate was an easy choice for Eliza and Ahmet, who instantly adored the elegant, classic aesthetic of the venue. “We are pretty modest people. We didn’t want to look back and be upset that we did things just because it was trendy or what everyone was doing,” the couple reflected. “Bramleigh Estate embodied our timeless and modest aesthetic.”

Bramleigh Estate also gave the couple the ability to have their ceremony, photographs, and reception all in one picturesque and private location. Dressed in a lace and heavy satin gown with a full skirt and sweeping veil, the bride kept her wedding day look classic yet striking. Walking the aisle accompanied by her parents, Eliza met Ahmet on the venue’s deck, under an arbour of crisp white florals.

The ceremony flowed into a spirited reception with delicious dining catered by Bramleigh Estate’s culinary team. The DJ combined Italian and Turkish music to reflect Eliza and Ahmet’s backgrounds respectively, as well as live drumming and traditional dancing. “Our DJ was fantastic, and we made sure there was a big enough dance floor for us all — that was a big priority!” says Eliza.

Eliza and Ahmet’s Bramleigh Estate wedding was exactly as they had hoped — a perfect day filled with joy and spent surrounded by their loved ones.

We had a couple options for venues to look at which all were pretty different in their styles, but the first place we went to was Bramleigh Estate. I remember Ahmet turning to me after we walked out of our tour and just saying, ‘This is the place, isn’t it?’ And it absolutely was. We didn’t need to look any further.
