Do most venues offer menu tastings?

At West Lakes Golf Club we offer a menu tasting after the booking is confirmed.

It is $45 pp choosing 2 entree and 3 mains that you like.

The tasting will help you make your menu selections and is a great way to get a feel of the venue before the Wedding Day.

We host tastings every 2nd Thursday which cost just $80 for three course meal plus house wine, beer, sparkling. soft drink.  You're welcome to bring as many people as you like to sample the food.

We include a three course wedding menu tasting to all couples who booked our "Cedar Premium Wedding Package"

We offer tastings for set menu options (sit down and cocktail style). tastings need to be booed in a minimum od 2 weeks in advance.

No we do not. We are a BYO wedding venue so a menu tasting would be through a catering company of your choosing. We are having an Open Day and Wedding Fair and RSVP is available via our website.

How we do it at Ben Ean:

At Ben Ean about 4-6 weeks prior to your Wedding we will organise a date which you and your partner are able to come in for a 'Final Details Day'. 

This day goes as follows:

10am - We will go over all your final details from suppliers, final numbers, dietaries, timings and we will work on your floor plan with you.

11am - You both will be seated in our Baumé Restaurant where you are able to select 2 choices to taste. During this you are also able to have a complimentry wine tasting (so you are able to sample all the wines in your beverage package)

Whilst you are seated in the restaurant we will finalise your Wedding Runsheet and bring a printed copy for you to approve.
Once approved we will give a copy all your suppliers and organise bump in & out times with them

This day is complimentry to the Wedding Couple although if you are wanting to bring some additional guests you are definitely able to.
(There is just a surcharge for additional guests)

We are a venue with accommodation only. We have a specific site where caterers can setup and provide their services, but this must be arranged separately by the couple.  Arrangements for tasting menus are organised between the couple and their chosen caterer.

For most busy venues the tasting is not appicable as what is cooked for two is not normally how you cook for 60 plus as a guide.  Unless there is a restaurant onsite the ambience is also not always available in a large venue room also.

We offer group menu tastings (COVID safe of course!).
