She's happy to play any of your favourite songs in the way you imagine, and can bring along a bandmate to make a sweet little duo with violin and harmonies. Happy to be your MC too!

Blending upbeat swing, pop, folk, acoustic and traditional jazz and covers, Maybelle provides the perfect 'mingling music' for your guests with that timeless charm while your taking your photos!

Dinner:

Maybelle's music fills the space with warm and lush covers, the perfect background music that's cosy, ambient and rustic. Keeping everyone happy with songs from every time and genre (based on your tastes of course!)

It's your moment to shine, and Maybelle's behind you with the perfect slow-tempo, deeply romantic ballad - or the song of your love story made perfect for you two!

FAQ

Can you travel outside of NSW?

Yes! I've played many weddings interstate, as well as Destination Weddings in Europe - my travel rates are as competitive as possible. Let's chat!

Can you play other instruments?

Yes! I can play an upright / grand piano if there is one at the venue, ukulele and can add violin to become a duo.

Do you take breaks?

I can normally play for up to 2 hours without a break! But, depending on the conditions of your wedding day, I may take a little 5 minute break to rehydrate my voice. I'll always play a curated bacground music playlist during these times (you can also send me yours if you prefer!).

Can you play as a duo?

Yes - I can add violin to become a duo, of vocals and guitar, and violin.

Are you available all year?

Depending on the season, I may be booked for the European Summer, but I am generally always available in Australia for weddings over Spring and Summer! Each year is different, so let me know your wedding date!

What are good songs for a wedding?

My dad and his fiance are about to get married this summer and I’m in charge of selecting songs for the whole day. The only song set I’m missing are the songs to be played during the ceremony itself. I was thinking of playing the song my dad’s fiance sang during the first time they met in an international dating social event. But I was thinking of using it for their first dance together. Another option was using the first song they sang together during karaoke night the day she first met our family. What do you guys think? Any suggestions?

Being given the job of choosing songs is a big task!

Thinking of songs that have been shared within special moments is a great idea, and adds a really unique and emotional touch. Try asking them who their favourite bands or singers are, any concerts they have been to together, or songs that reflect the couple themselves (and how much they love each other).

Ceremony songs can be anything that suits the couple, but often more gentle, sweet and beautiful songs for the ceremony can really bring a focus onto the bride and groom. After the completion of the signing, something more celebratory and upbeat can really fit this moment as it’s celebration time from there on!

A band and a DJ bring completely different music to your wedding!

A band has the ability to be very intimate and beautiful, with live singing and instruments. As they are live musicians, they are able to shift and change (on the spot) for moments like if the bride or groom is delayed walking down the isle, they can play for longer and extend the song. A band is also perfect for the first dance, which is so beauitful and special.

A band also provides easy and sweet transitions between moments, after the ceremony they can energise the room while the wedding party are taking photos, without being too distracting from the couple. It also provides something for people to actually watch and appreciate the beauty of.

A DJ brings energy and fun, they are perfect for getting people on the floor dancing, taking requests and keeping the energy up! This is also the time when a couple can dance to all their favourite songs (that might swing from folk, to pop, to heavy metal!). A DJ can also play all night long.
