I started Top Shelf Music in 2003. As a professional musician, I understand that music will MAKE or BREAK your wedding. A professional DJ/MC should customise the music to the couple's taste & if everyone isn't having a great night, the DJ isn't doing their job! Top Shelf Music started as a solo venture and has now grown to include a number of hand-picked experienced professional DJs. We offer a premium personalised service at an affordable price. Absolutely. Who better to choose the music for your special occasion than yourself? There is nothing worse than a DJ who only plays music that THEY want to hear. A good DJ will incorporate requests from not only the host(s), but also the guests and throw in a few crowd pleasers along the way.
Yes. We are more than happy to guide you in your choice of music for your evening. We pride ourselves on being able to read a crowd exceptionally well and select the best music for every part of the evening, whether it be a romantic love song or a good old party classic!
Most definitely. We don’t charge any extra for this service either! In addition to this, we always liase with the function co-ordinator and manager of the venue throughout the evening to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Of course! Choosing a DJ is a very important decision and it is of vital importance that you feel comfortable allowing them to be a part of your occasion. Yes. we provide a wide variety of lighting effects as well as a smoke machine and bubble machine for use on the night.
