Ben and Vee

Ben & Vee were the first vendors we booked for our wedding (after our venue). We booked them as our live musicians + Ben as DJ + Vee as our celebrant & MC. Music was very important to my husband and I for our wedding day - and I am so happy we had Ben & Vee to bring our vision of the day to life with their incredible talents. They were fantastic to work with. You can view my review of the amazing Vee as our celebrant & MC on Weddings with Vee - so this review will focus on the music. Ben learned all of our ceremony songs on guitar and sang + played them so beautifully. His voice is heavenly. Ben & Vee kept guests entertained during canape hour and throughout dinner with their live music and singing - bringing everyone together for a couple of dance breaks and singalongs to some classics. They were the complete VIBE we pictured for our day. Ben even spontaneously strummed along to "Angels" when our best man's speech turned into an impromptu singalong hahaha. All of our special dance songs (first dance, father/daughter, mother/son, and stepfather/daughter) were learned and played live by Ben & Vee. They even supplied us with a recording of our first dance song early so we could use it in dance lessons. Ben & Vee performed each song so perfectly... it felt like we were in a movie. Those special dances are once in a lifetime, and having our own special versions of these songs played live by Ben & Vee made them all the more special. I will treasure those moments forever. These two genuinely have the voices of angels. Later on in the night, Ben kept the momentum going as the BEST DJ. Our dance floor was packed all night, he knew exactly what songs to play to keep the crowd going. It was an absolute party, I've never seen our friends and families dance as hard as they did that night. My nieces (2 and 8) were also on the dance floor the whole night and made it to the end of the evening, even THEY did not want to leave the party!! For our non-live special moment songs (grand entrances into reception / cake cutting), they absolutely nailed the execution of these, starting and cutting the songs at just the right places. Our entrance into the reception was everything we dreamed of and more - and the energy brought from our guests wouldn't have been possible without Ben & Vee. Guest experience was a top priority for us during wedding planning, and Ben & Vee are the perfect vendors to ensure your guests (and YOU) have the best day / night ever. All of our guests have commented on how great it was to have live music for most of our day and then a DJ for the open dancing. They felt like they were being entertained the entire day / night, and there was never a "lull" in our day. Music is so so important, it sets the mood and is literally the soundtrack to every memory made on the day. We are so incredibly lucky to have had Ben & Vee be the soundtrack to our day. We are endlessly grateful for these two beautiful people and their talents. They were professional, fun, and went above and beyond any expectations we had. We love you both! If we could give more stars, we would! From the moment we booked them for our wedding, until the final song, Ben and Vee exceeded our expectations. Vee was so helpful and friendly during our email correspondence and phone consults, and always made me feel at ease at every step of the pre-wedding process. On the day, all anybody could tell us was how incredible Ben and Vee were as a duo. Their voices were beautiful together, and it was such a joy to hear their renditions of the (slightly unconventional) songs we selected! Once the party got started in the evening, Ben was a legend on the decks and had everyone on the dance floor in seconds after our first dance was over! we recently had Ben and Vee play our ceremony, canapé hour and reception and they were the absolute best!! we had Vee as MC as well! she kept the night flowing seamlessly! Ben switched to being the DJ after the formalities were over and he kept the vibe going all night long with the music matching the vibes perfectly. These are two very gifted musicians with easy going, high energy personalities to match. We've had so many guests comment on how good they were! Super easy to work with, always happy to help with anything! If your searching for good vibes, gorgeous live music and a stellar DJ, honestly look no further - these guys do it all!

We recently hired Ben and Vee for our wedding reception. The process was easy and their communication was perfect (giving advice, quick responses and listening to our wishes even when it was unusual). During dinner, they both performed beautifully. Vee was an amazing MC, being flexible when necessary. Ben was a great DJ. All the music we requested was played. They helped make our night amazing. We have recommended them to others. The only fault was that Vee said that they would record our first dance on a device of our choice but this did not happen. We probably should have made sure before the dance.

Ben and Vee were perfect the entire day. I threw a very out-of-the-box aisle song at them, and they delivered magic. The live music throughout the reception was also the perfect vibe, and they took all my song requests very seriously. Vee was also an incredible MC throughout the event. Highly recommend this duo for your wedding day. Delivered above and beyond.
