Bridal hair and makeup trials are recommended to make sure you’re going to look perfect on your wedding day. Does your hair hold curl? Will the condition, texture, length allow you to achieve that amazing style you have your heart set on? Will you need extensions to add volume to your fine hair? All of these are important questions that shouldn't be left till your wedding day. During your hair and makeup trial your stylist can also determine how long they will need with you to produce the best outcome on the big day. Trials are also great for creating good energy and an easy going vibe for the wedding day because by then, everyone has already met and knows one another. This tends to put brides at ease and make it more comfortable, and believe me, when you're relaxed, it helps your hair and makeup look flawless and getting ready will be fun and easy! We don’t think it’s worth leaving some things to chance, but in the end if you really don’t want to book a trial, don’t! We know that a trial run is not an option for all brides because of busy schedules or perhaps the budget doesn't allow for it, so in the event you decided not to or can't have a trial, don't worry! just make sure you allow a little extra getting ready time on the day so your stylist can ensure you look and feel gorgeous!!
We recommend scheduling your bridal hair and makeup trial about one or two months before your wedding day, this will ensure you have time to properly test out your dream look and make any changes if necessary. While we agree you only need to book one hair and makeup trial, you can schedule more if you'd like. For example, if you're torn between two looks or want to try something a little different the second time around, an extra appointment might help settle your nerves.
Exfoliation removes dead skin cells, leaving your skin radiant and smooth. If you want soft, clean skin, exfoliating your face prior to the makeup trial will give you glowing skin. A hydrating moisturiser should be applied after. Have your eyebrows waxed 2 days prior to your makeup trial.
Yes you will always receive the same bridal hair and makeup artist that did your wedding trial.

The main trends we’re seeing:
• Glowy, natural skin (not heavy or matte)
• Soft blush for a fresh, healthy look
• Neutral, blended eyes — nothing too dark or harsh
• Fluffy lashes instead of thick, heavy ones
• Soft nude or pink lips with a natural finish
Overall, it’s less about full glam and more about soft glam that enhances your features.

You can absolutely wear red lipstick on your wedding day — it can look stunning and very elegant ?
It really comes down to your personal style and overall look. Red works beautifully if:
• You love a bold, classic look
• Your dress and styling are more clean or timeless
• You feel confident wearing it
Just keep in mind:
• It’s a bit higher maintenance (touch-ups needed)
• It can transfer onto glasses, veil, or your partner
• We usually keep the eyes softer to balance the look
Most brides tend to choose soft nudes or pinks for a more natural, timeless feel — but a red lip can be incredible if it feels like you ??

One artist can absolutely manage a bridal party of six for either hair or makeup, but not both — it really comes down to your timing and how early you’re happy to begin. I generally allow around 1 hour per service, so with one artist it does make for a longer morning.
The good news is we have a large, experienced team, so if you’d prefer a more relaxed and efficient start to your day, we can provide 2–3 hair and makeup artists, allowing multiple people to be ready at the same time ?
We’re completely flexible and can tailor everything to suit your morning perfectly ??
