Flowers sold in todays markets are OK for your bouquet providing they are fresh. Choosing an experienced florist is important. It is importane to keep them as cool as possable. Singapore orchids, roses, Agapanthus, natives, summer flowers are always reliable. If you are on the Central Coast of NSW or The Hunter Valley please contact me i am happy to shat & advise. good luck.
Hi
Please accept my sincere apology for responding late. I was away.
I would say the tropical and natives are the best during summer months. you can have the softer flowers for ihe indoor events.
if you need any further assistance, please contact us.

Hi there, thanks for your enquiry. Sorry about the delay as I was away until today. In general, cut flowers and leaves do not like high temperatures or under direct sunlight as the stem cannot hold lots of water, and without root strcutures that draws fluid, the floral foams are merely place holders. However, in most cases we would only need them to last 2 hours for ceremony and that's all we could expect. We only use fresh and all the floral are made on the day for the best result.
Tropical and native flowers hold up the best in extreme heat.
If you have your heart set on softer flowers, it is still possible to have them last all day.
You will need to look after them a bit more than the natives/tropicals - see responses below - very helpful :)
Also - keep them out of direct sunlight as often as possible.
Hey there,
Choosing an expriened florist is pretty important, as they should take your wedding season weather into consideration, and give you alternatives if they know the weather is heating up.
Apart from taking standard flower care (keeping it the fridge, putting bouquets in water as soon as possible etc), using silk florals where possible is a great alternative.
As a general rule, in hot weather I suggest using silk flowers where they are unlikely to be touched (think wedding arch, hanging installations, elevated peices etc) and using fresh flowers if they are likely to be handled.
No matter how much you can prepare for a hot day, unless you are willing to go to extreme lengths (such as carrying an esky with you to keep the flowers in) they heat will impact them. Choosing a selection of natives would be the most fool proof choice, as they are used to the hot conditions are are very hardy. Other alternatives, which are making a trend are already dried arrangements, or a mixture of both.
Good luck!

Hi,
This is quite a common concern here in Brisbane. I would recommend firstly choosing a quality florist so you receive the best quality and freshest flowers. Secondly most flowers that are available in summer are pretty resilient to the heat so as long as you keep water up to them they should be fine!
Tips:
Get your flowers delivered closest to you being ready as possible.
Any buttonholes or corsages place in Fridge until needed.
Pack a little spray bottle in your emergency kit and get a bridesmaid to give the flowers a spritz after the ceremony.
Have some vases of water ready at the reception to pop the bouquets into so they can get a well needed drink.
Any concerns consult a qualified florist to assist.
Enjoy planning your Special Day!
Kind regards Arlene
