For 2024/25, we’re seeing a mix of timeless elegance and modern twists in wedding dress trends. Here are a few things to look out for:

  1. Minimalist Designs: Clean, sleek silhouettes are still going strong, with brides opting for dresses that focus on structure and fabric over heavy embellishments. Think satin or crepe fabrics in simple yet stunning styles.
  2. Modest but Modern: Modesty continues to be popular, with designs like long sleeves, higher necklines, and full-length skirts being updated with modern fabrics and cuts.
  3. Bold Detailing: Unexpected elements like detachable sleeves, statement backs, or 3D floral appliqués are becoming a fun way to add personality to the gown.
  4. Sustainable Fabrics: Eco-friendly materials and ethical practices are gaining traction, with more brides seeking dresses made from sustainable fabrics like organic silk or recycled materials.
  5. Pants and Jumpsuits: For a more unconventional look, wedding pantsuits or chic jumpsuits are becoming more popular as a fashion-forward alternative to traditional gowns.
  6. Color Variations: Soft blush, champagne, and even subtle pastel hues are becoming trendy, offering an alternative to classic white.

There’s a lot of room for individuality in wedding dress choices, so trends will continue to evolve based on what feels most authentic to the bride!

Hi there

To lock in a paticular trend can be tricky, my best advise is that you choose a gown that is  most compimentary to you. Remember that you need to wear the gown so it must also reflect your personality, style and venue. There are many trends that come and go ,always the classics shine trough with a hint of individuality or customising. That makes your dress totally unique.

I am always happy to help guide a bride or simply discuss designing a unique dress if you are not finding "the one"!

Goodbye veils. Hello sleeves. In 2024, bridal gowns will cover arms, not faces. Scholars have traced veils back to Rome, when brides wore them to fend off evil spirits whose goal was to thwart the happiness of the couple. We don't need that in our lives. But sleeves? You can do a lot with sleeves. They haven't been incredibly popular in wedding gowns since the 80s, but they're coming back.

Hi,

I do a lot of research on Bridal Trends and what seems to be coming through quite strongly is that brides are wanting to be more unique and individual on their wedding day! I love this as it helps you to express your own style on the BIG day.

My recommendation is that you start with determining which silhouette is best for your body shape and proportions. Especially if you're short, balanced or long waisted, as this has a huge impact on how good you'll look in your dress and in turn this will make you more confident and beautiful!

From here you can choose between a Romantic, Traditional or Minimilist theme (the leading trends for 2023/4) to start researching the styles for each of those.

Reach out if you need any more help!

Fondly,  Joanne.

I think the most  popular style for the wedding dress would be the A-line ,the fitted mermaid and the traditional styles
