As a previous contestant on The Great Australian Bake Off, he brings proven experience with flavour, technique and presentation to his custom work. Each cake is made fresh in Sydney and finished by hand.
The Underground Cakery gives equal attention to flavour and appearance. Bold designs are paired with cakes made to be enjoyed and shared, creating a wedding centrepiece that looks striking and tastes just as good when served. The range also includes cookies, brownies and tarts, all made with the same focus on quality baking, flavour and presentation.

For couples wanting the impact of a larger or more elaborate wedding cake, faux cake hire offers greater flexibility without every tier needing to be edible. Choose a completely faux display cake, combine faux and real tiers, or pair a statement display cake with freshly baked kitchen cakes for serving. This allows couples to create the wedding cake look they love while tailoring the amount of fresh cake to their guest numbers.

Hi future customer! I am a cake maker, big dreamer and professional overthinker with a love for bold ideas, good food and bringing people together. Born in the UAE with Sri Lankan roots, I now lives in Camden with my partner, Brad, and our daughter, Isla. When I am not covered in buttercream, I am probably planning a holiday, gardening or throwing a themed party or making everyone laugh (probably a comedian last life).

Book your wedding cake with The Underground Cakery through Easy Weddings and receive a complimentary first-anniversary cake.
One year after your special day, enjoy a freshly made 5-inch cake in one of your original wedding cake flavours,the perfect way to relive a little piece of your celebration together.
Available for wedding cake bookings of $600 or more. Anniversary cake must be collected and is subject to availability.
Available to new Easy Weddings couples booking a wedding cake valued at $600 or more.
Includes one standard 5-inch anniversary cake, with custom additions charged separately.
Four weeks’ notice is required, with collection within 30 days of your first anniversary. Delivery is extra.
Subject to availability; non-transferable, not redeemable for cash and invalid if the wedding booking is cancelled.

Yes. Our private tasting experience is $90 per couple and includes a selection of flavours, tea or bubbles, and a 30-minute consultation. The tasting fee is deducted from your final balance when you book your wedding cake with us. Tastings take place every 6 months. Please follow us on instagram to be up to date with tasting dates.
Absolutely. Every wedding cake is designed to suit your celebration, drawing inspiration from your flowers, stationery, venue, colour palette and personal style.
We’ll recommend the most suitable size based on your guest numbers, whether the cake will be served as dessert or coffee portions, and the overall look you would like to achieve.
Yes. Faux tiers can be paired with freshly baked kitchen cakes. This is a great option for couples wanting a larger statement design without requiring an all edible cake. You also have greater flexibility to cater for various diterary requirements. It is perfect for every weather and with much less food waste, if you have other desserts. Essentially, you can have a 4 tier faux cake and have other desserts too.
Please let us know about any dietary requirements or allergies when enquiring. While selected alternatives may be available, our cakes are prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens, so we cannot guarantee the absence of traces.
Yes. Delivery and professional setup are available and quoted according to the venue’s location, access requirements and setup time.
Reasonable changes may be possible if requested early enough. Significant changes to the size, design, flavours or delivery arrangements may affect the final price and are subject to availability.
We’ll discuss your date, venue, guest numbers, preferred style, flavours and budget before preparing a personalised quote. Once the deposit is paid, your wedding date is officially secured.
