Becoming a Marriage Celebrant has been the most wonderful decision, I so love my job! I’m passionate about love, people, communication and connection. I have a varied background; from advertising and public relations, to education & counselling. I place great value on taking the time to get to know the people I work with. As a Marriage Celebrant, I have the opportunity to, not only connect with amazing couples, but to also get a sense of their love and the wonderful connection they share.

Pretty much after you've decided on a date and venue. I tend to book between 6 to 16 months in advance. However that doesn't mean I would definitely not have availability earlier, so best to make contact.
Also, important to be aware that you are legally required to lodge, with your celebrant, the document called a Notice of Intended Marriage, at least one month before the date of your marriage, and not more than 18 months prior to the date.
We would arrange a catch up, over a coffee or maybe something a tad stronger! No commitment at this stage, simply a time for us to get to know each other, you tell me what you'd like or envisage for you ceremony.
You might be thinking a short and simple ceremony with a small number of guests, or a longer more detailed and personalised ceremony, involving a large bridal party and number of guests. It may be an elopement or a surprise ceremony. Once I've got a sense of what you'd like, I'll outline what's involved from legals to ceremony process, and provide my fee.
I'm based in Alexandria, Sydney. Face to face meeting is always nice, I often meet couples at a local cafe or sometimes we meet halfway. Together we figure out what works best. For couples out of Sydney or overseas, we arrange a chat via Face Time or other. Basically, we make it happen!
Yes, I provide you with a range of readings and examples of Vows to support you in writing your own Vows.
Yes, I have a great PA system and signing table and chairs, if required.
Yes I do offer a rehearsal, and encourage it if it's a large bridal party. Where possible we hold the rehearsal at the venue, otherwise we arrange an alternative venue together. The rehersal does not involve going through the entire ceremony, but more the process, positioning etc..
Yes I do. I get to the venue 45 minutes earlier, set up, liaise with and support any of your other suppliers, if needed. I also mingle a bit with your guests.
I take care of all legal paperwork. I ensure all documents are completed and signed in accordance with legal requirements.
After the ceremony, I register your marriage and lodge all legal documents with the Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages.
To change your name, you need to have the legally recognised Certificate of Marriage, which is different to the commemorative certificate you receive on your wedding day. You can apply for the Certificate of Marriage after I've lodged the official documentation and registered your marriage with Births, Deaths & Marriages, the cost is $58.00. Alternatively, I do offer to apply on your behalf at the time of registering your marriage. The cost of $58.00 would simply be added to my fee. Note: your marriage will be registered within fourteen days of your wedding date.
