About
My husband and I have been married for 43 years. We have 3 gorgeous daughters and 3 sons in law! Our 3 beautiful grand children keep us busy and we wouldn't have it any other way. I retired from my workplace to focus on my celebrancy business. Over the past 10 years I have had the pleasure to marry old and young couples, to perform namings and renewal of vows. I have also had the honour of being the celebrant for funerals. It is always exciting to meet new people.

Is this still a thing? Obvious not for same sex couples, but still
Rhonda McIver Marriage Celebrant
For all couples I believe it is a personal choice and how comfortable you feel. Practice with each other which is your better side and make your decision at a rehearsal. As the bride, you might like to walk the aisle with your father, or whoever may be giving you away, on one side to be met with your groom on the other side. Some brides enter with both parents with the groom meeting you and taking your hand to come to the celebrant. There are varying ways and no set ways as it is your day to do it in your style.
Should I avoid getting married on Jan 13th as it will be so busy right?

Congratulations on your pending marriage! A very exciting time for any couple. Depending on where you are planning to marry may be a busy time with couples who have also chosen this date sometime ago. However you do need to have the Notice of Intended Marriage form submitted with a celebrant by the 13th December to marry on 13 January 2018. Take the time to plan your special day with your partner and not be rushed to have wonderful memories to hold forever.
Is it bad to have my guests sitting in the sun?
What if it's really hot? It's a feb wedding. What can I do to ensure no one faints? :/
Rhonda McIver Marriage Celebrant
February can be very hot, even under shady trees. Perhaps as a special gift to your guests you could provide hand fans, plenty of cool water, sun cream and maybe, if practical, have a misting sprinkler in the background. It is really important to have some shade and seating, particularly if you have elderly or pregnant guests. Perhaps hire a gazebo and umbrellas for those guests who stand at the back. You have already started the process of thinking about the comfort of your guests which is very thoughful.
