The Hotel Windsor

The Hotel Windsor was an absolute godsend. Geri, makes me lost for words how incredible she was. The entire process, she was there to help, assist, and always looked after us. She went above and beyond for us and our wedding would not have been as perfect as it was without her. The heritage charm of the Windsor and additional staff and management team stayed with me until 2am setting up our room and making sure everything will be absolutely perfect. I could not fault them whatsoever and would recommend anybody to this venue. It's unique, has a beautiful heritage charm and truly is magical. 1000x yes!

If you're considering The Windsor for your wedding, look beyond the beautiful ballroom and grand staircase. In our experience, the venue's appearance simply did not make up for the repeated operational and service failures we encountered. We chose The Windsor because of its reputation as one of Melbourne's premier luxury wedding venues and entrusted them with one of the most important weekends of our lives, investing over $28,000 to just the Windsor for food, dancefloor and drinks (not to mention the extra thousands in rooms for the bridal party and friends. While our guests had a wonderful evening and the ballroom itself is beautiful, our experience as the bride and groom was overshadowed by a series of service failures that should not have occurred at a five-star venue. Throughout the planning process and our wedding weekend we experienced: An unnecessarily difficult planning process due to the unprofessional conduct of our original wedding coordinator, whose behaviour during multiple interactions left us in tears. During one discussion, we were told that reallocating funds from the included dessert to meal upgrades would make "the kitchen very angry" with her, while she abruptly tapped the table. This conduct was acknowledged by The Windsor, after which the manager took over as our coordinator. She was professional, compassionate and made a genuine effort to repair what had become a very difficult planning experience but sadly still got things confused whilst she was planning also. Our accommodation booking being entered under the wrong surname and other issues over The Windsor Suite for the grooms had been booked for 3 people... and they only had one bed... so the groom had to share a bed the night before. There were a number of other issues but not enough space to explain them all. All in all, we were very unhappy with the entire process.

We had our wedding in the grand ballroom (organized very last minute) and it was just amazing! Very lucky that it was available as it was thee best wedding venue we could ever ask for. Lovely and friendly service and tasty food. I really appreciate their assistance with preparing everything. It was very stress-free as they greatly took care of everything!

The Hotel Windsor is a brilliant venue for weddings of all sizes and scopes. My partner and I had a small, under 40 person wedding in the hotel’s Canberra Room on June 2nd—and our guests are still raving about the attentive and seamless service. All wedding packages come with ample structure, provisions, and complimentary inclusions; and yet still enough flexibility to truly personalize the day. But I really must rave about Louise and the Hotel’s wedding planning and event staff! With her assistance, I was able to plan our wedding from the middle of the Pacific Ocean (my partner and I are cruise ship employees). I cannot recommend this venue and these people enough.!

The supplier did a great job supporting my husband and I with our small and intimate wedding. It was an easy, simple process and everything was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Thank You!
