We had a fantastic experience with the Mineral Springs Hotel for our small wedding of 35 guests. We used the Secret Garden for a private ceremony, followed by cocktail hour (or a few hours!) in the Villa Parma garden, and then dinner and dancing in the Villa Parma cellar. We also stayed in the Villa Parma for the weekend, which made it so nice and easy to have everything in the one place. The scenery and vibe are absolutely breathtaking, and there was plenty of accommodation for our guests, which made the whole day feel effortless. The only downside I can think of is that it’s not the most child-friendly spot, as there isn’t proper fencing along the roadside. Our 1.5-year-old son did manage to escape once, which was terrifying. Something we didn’t think about beforehand, so definitely worth considering if you have very little kids as we had to watch extra carefully. Now onto the positives — Chathura, the venues wedding coordinator, was honestly amazing and I will be forever grateful for the experience he gave us. From day one he was friendly, patient and so helpful. I’m a very detailed and organised person (maybe a little too much at times), and he was always polite and quick to reply to my many emails. After chatting over email for so long, it was such a nice surprise when we met in person for our site visits and menu tasting and found he was even better in person — funny, supportive and genuinely wanting the best for us, not just ticking boxes. He went above and beyond in every way, even letting us set up a few days before, which helped so much. On the day itself, he was running around making sure everything went smoothly so I didn’t have to stress about a thing. I really couldn’t fault him and am so grateful for everything he did for us. By the end, I honestly felt sad not to be in contact anymore because he really did feel like a friend. We couldn’t recommend the Mineral Springs Hotel enough. It was such a beautiful and memorable experience — one we’ll always be thankful for.
