A mine site in remote Western Australia might seem like an unlikely place to meet the love of your life, but it worked for Jessica Stanford and David Jamieson.
The two underground miners, both 32, met eight years ago and married in an elegant wedding at beautiful Caversham House in Western Australia’s Swan Valley on April 16, 2015.
With the bride originally from South Australia and David hailing from NSW, the 80-strong guest list included loved ones from across the country and around the globe.
“Which to us it’s what it’s all about. The people we love surrounding us while we declare our love,” Jessica says.
A unique touch was the butterfly release during the ceremony, while a marquee at the Caversham House venue provided the perfect location for the reception.
“For me it’s all about marrying the love of my life with all our family and friends,” Jessica says of the special day.

Celebrant Luke Firth made the union official. “Such an amazing service,” praises Jessica. “Had us laughing and crying.”
Jessica’s younger brother Michael played the acoustic guitar and sang as the bride made her way down the aisle. “It was such a beautiful, personal moment,” Jessica says.
“Reception styling was a result of hours of DIY and that included homemade sweets for the candy bar,” Jessica says.
