An aviation-inspired celebration: Paige and Timothy at Vue on Halcyon

Paige and Timothy first crossed paths in the aviation industry, so it was only natural that their wedding day at Vue on Halcyon would take flight with subtle, travel-inspired touches.

From passport-style invitations to a seating chart designed around a world map, the couple wove their shared passion into every detail of their Yarra Valley celebration. The travel theme even reached the cake, where Mad About Cakes created a three-tier masterpiece featuring a world map and dried florals that perfectly matched the day’s green and terracotta palette. For the couple, the goal was a day that felt personal and meaningful rather than just another booking. Paige notes that Vue on Halcyon delivered exactly that, with Renae and Dean offering a level of hospitality that made them feel instantly at home.

The day began with a ceremony in the on-site chapel, where 120 guests watched as the couple exchanged vows in a space filled with natural light. Following the service, guests moved to the lawn and decking for flowing drinks and roaming canapés provided by the venue. The menu was a highlight for many, featuring a rotation of beef, salmon, and duck that Paige says was cooked to an exceptionally high standard. Musicians Milly Joel kept the energy high from the ceremony through to the final song, ensuring the dance floor stayed packed all night. Reflecting on the team that brought it all together, Paige says, “Vue on Halcyon exceeded all of our expectations. Renae and Dean were incredible to work with, every interaction we had with them was warm, easy, and memorable”.

Capturing the effortless atmosphere was the team from Love & Other, who managed to make the camera-shy couple feel comfortable from the very first shot. The resulting photos caught every thoughtful detail, including the paper planes guests threw during the portraits and the bride’s striking Stella York ballgown paired with red Steve Madden stilettos. Even the transport remained classic, with the bridal party arriving in cream Hudson soft tops from Sherbrooke Hire Vintage Cars. For Paige and Timothy, the combination of a stunning winery setting and a team they truly connected with made for a seamless transition into married life.
