Jenifer and Trevor’s modern red dress celebration at Eureka 89

Jenifer and Trevor chose the vibrant heart of Southbank for their Melbourne city wedding, taking in stunning skyline views and celebrating with 84 of their closest guests. The day began in comfort at The Langham, where the couple captured gorgeous portraits before making the short, scenic walk across the Yarra River to their venue, Eureka 89. Jenifer, a dressmaker with 30 years of industry experience, designed and tailored her own rich red gown, her daughter’s matching navy dress, and the entire wedding party’s attire, bringing a deeply personal touch to every detail.

The venue accommodated both the ceremony and reception effortlessly in the same space. While the team rearranged the room post-ceremony, magician Mark from Magical Moments kept guests thoroughly entertained. Jenifer and Trevor opted out of traditional elements in favour of a relaxed, fun atmosphere, serving a delicious feast of steak, chicken, and roasted vegetables alongside a clever, crowd-pleasing cupcake tower sourced from Coles.

The couple praised their dream vendor team for seamlessly bringing their vision to life. “Mike Larkan was incredible,” Jenifer shared about their celebrant. “He was able to have a bit of fun and keep it lighthearted.” The evening’s entertainment was anchored by Baker Boys Band, who brought an unforgettable energy to the reception. “We had a six piece string band, The Baker Boys Band, and they were absolutely incredible,” said Jenifer. “They created exactly the atmosphere I had imagined and performed every song so beautifully. Having live music brought such a special energy to the day, and I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough.”
