Perfectly framed: Danielle and Tai’s vibrant day by Nadine Saacks Photography

Danielle and Tai’s story began long before their wedding day, having attended school together since year five.
While they remained friends throughout their schooling, it was a gap year spent travelling together that shifted their relationship from platonic to romantic. Five years later, Tai orchestrated a proposal that was perfectly in character, involving a “spare” hotel voucher and a chocolate hidden under a pillow. The celebration started immediately, with both of their families and three dogs waiting at the hotel bar for a surprise engagement party.
To document this long-awaited milestone, the couple chose Nadine Saacks Photography, a trusted Easy Weddings supplier known for capturing genuine connection with a polished, modern edge. Danielle and Tai admit they were not particularly comfortable in front of a professional lens, which made Nadine’s presence essential. Her ability to guide them through the day ensured every moment was beautifully captured, providing the couple with a sense of ease that allowed their natural chemistry to shine.
When it came to planning their 15 March 2026 wedding, the couple sought a garden atmosphere that felt both elegant and romantic. They found their perfect match in The Calyx within Sydney’s Royal Botanical Gardens, a venue they fell in love with for its lush, natural beauty. Working alongside Sydney Event Stylist (Yael Barkhan), they curated a day that prioritised a seamless flow and a vibrant, floral-heavy aesthetic.
The wedding day was designed for ease, with all events held in one central location. The ceremony took place outdoors in the gardens, providing a romantic backdrop for their vows. While Danielle and Tai wandered the Botanical Gardens for their portrait session, their 220 guests enjoyed cocktails amongst the greenery. The transition from the afternoon sun to the evening festivities was effortless, as the party moved inside the venue for dinner and dancing.
Inside The Calyx, the space was transformed into a colourful sanctuary, with the decor overflowing with flowers that echoed the garden setting. Guests were treated to an excellent menu catered by Laissez Faire, the venue’s resident catering team. Throughout the celebration, Nadine Saacks Photography remained a standout element of the experience. “Nadine was amazing at giving directions and making us feel comfortable, considering neither of us are used to taking professional photos the instructions were great,” the couple noted.
Reflecting on the celebration, Danielle and Tai wouldn’t change a single detail, attributing the success of the day to their trusted team of suppliers. Their primary recommendation to other couples is to simply enjoy the process and avoid getting caught up in the stress of the finer details. For Danielle and Tai, the day was a perfect reflection of their journey: polished, heartfelt, and perfectly framed.
