For Brooke and Patrick, choosing a wedding location was less about finding a scenic backdrop and more about returning to the place where their story truly began. Having lived in Manly together and raised their son there during his first year, the iconic coastal suburb held a significance that few other places could match.

On 12 December 2025, the couple welcomed 115 guests for a day defined by a calm, elegant, and spacious atmosphere. “Atmosphere — we wanted something calm, elegant and spacious to create a lovely feeling for guests,” Brooke explains. While the original plan involved an outdoor ceremony at Little Manly Point, unpredictable weather saw the entire event move to the heritage charm of Manly Pavilion.

“The stress of reorganising the location last minute was quite overwhelming,” Brooke shares. “I’d definitely suggest that anyone hosting an outdoor wedding has a good backup plan”. Fortunately, the venue handled the transition perfectly. “The space was seamlessly transitioned from a seated ceremony to a canapé style reception during cocktail hour,” Brooke notes.

The aesthetic was a sophisticated nod to the harbour setting, featuring a palette of pale blue and white. Brooke wore a Pronovias Bourgeon gown from Marry Me Mosman, while her bridesmaids wore ice blue Bec and Bridge dresses to complement the coastal vibe. Down the Garden Path provided the floral touches, including white posies and a striking floral arch.

Capturing the day was photographer Ben Newnam, whom the couple describes as a “champion” for his ability to take elegant, romantic photographs that felt true to their connection. Reflecting on the day, Brooke and Patrick achieved exactly what they set out to do: create a relaxed, intimate experience shared with their closest family and friends in a place that felt like home.
