Kim and Kanye marry in Italy

Reality star Kim Kardashian and her rapper beau Kanye West have made it official, marrying in a romantic sunset ceremony in an Italian fortress over the weekend.

The bride wore a semi backless, haute couture lace Givenchy gown, as seen by these pictures, shared by the bride on Instagram.

The bride and groom met at the top of the aisle, which was covered in a wall of fragrant white flowers.

Kim’s sister Khloe posted the photo below of her in her bridesmaid’s dress surveying the view from the top of the ancient fort.

The couple’s menu (below) looks mouthwatering and included home-made pasta, beef fillets and strawberry sorbet. Yumbo!

A spokes for E!, which produces Kardashian’s reality TV show Keeping up with the Kardashians, has confirmed the wedding took place in the private ceremony at the 16th century Forte di Belvedere.

People is reporting the sunset ceremony was witnessed by about 200 family and friends.

The bride’s sisters made up the bridal party, and step-father Bruce Jenner walked the bride down the aisle while Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli sang ‘Con Te Partiro’.

Locals lined the streets of Florence for hours hoping to get a glimpse of the blushing bride, however even they couldn’t get a close-up view of the action due to the heavily-walled fortress.

Among the celebrity guest list were Steve McQueen, director of Oscar-winner 12 Years a Slave; Joe Francis of Girls Gone Wild fame and Jaden Smith (son of Will and Jada Smith) who wore a white Batman outift to the reception.

Kanye, 36, proposed to Kim, 33, in October on her birthday having rented out San Francisco’s AT&T Park – and an orchestra – to pop the question. Kim changed into a second gown for the reception. It was custom made by Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing, who is seen below with the bride, and designed Kim’s ornately sewn hen’s night mini.

The couple’s cake was, reportedly, a whopping seven-feet tall and, of course, they had a photobooth! The pictures below shows just how happy the newlyweds (and some of their guests) were on their very big day.

Kanye was recently quoted in the Florence newspaper La Nazione saying he and Kim had come to Florence previously and, he believes, their daughter, North, was conceived “among the Renaissance masterpieces”.

It is the first marriage for West, and the third for Kardashian.
