One of the best moments after your wedding isn’t just heading off on your honeymoon. It’s getting your photos back from the best day of your lives!

Your wedding is going to be one of the most photographed events in your lifetime. So once you’ve chosen the amazing wedding photographer you want to spend 8 to 12 hours with on your big day, it’s time to start thinking about how you’re going to display your wedding photos.

There are traditional options such as a display on the wall or purchasing a photo album. And then there are those options that are a bit more quirky and fun to include.

Whatever your house decor and preferences are, here are our favourite ways to display wedding photos in your home after the big day.

Photo album

53% of couples will purchase a photo album from the wedding photographer that they’ve booked on their day. They can work with the same person to create a stunning timeline of what happened, with input from someone who was there on the day.

Whatever your choices with your photo album are, this is a great way to display the highest number of your wedding photos at once. A custom-made album, printed design or design with text around it are all great options for displaying the story of your wedding day.

Give your photo album a stunning cover to use as a coffee table or display centrepiece in your home. Your friends and family will love looking at it next time they come for a visit!

Framed or canvas wall display

Another traditional option is to display a group of photos in a display on your walls. Popular options for wall displays include separate frames set up in a pattern or symmetrical display. You could do the same with canvas prints if you prefer the unframed aesthetic.

Play around with different styling options to create something a bit more unique to your display. Have a stunning picture where you and your spouse are offset to the side? Split it into a three-feature canvas for a unique design.

Quirky shelf display

We’re coming up to the last of the truly traditional display options here and that is, of course, displaying your pictures on a shelf. If a wall display is all about symmetry then a shelf display is about organised asymmetry.

Print your images in different sizes and displays (both portrait and landscape) to mix your display up a bit. You could even opt for mismatched frames to add a bit of quirkiness to your display if your house runs a bit more eclectic.

Thank you cards

What better way to share a few of your favourite wedding images with your nearest and dearest than by including them in your thank you cards? Have a single image or a collage designed into a postcard-sized thank you note that you can send out after the event. Not only does it get your thank you cards out of the way, but your friends and family can display the photo in their own homes as well.

Don’t forget to keep one for yourselves so you can display it on the fridge!

Guest book

If you’re having a photo booth then a perfect way to display all of these images, and more, is through your guest book. You already have your guests contributing advice and fun notes in your guest book, so why not include some of the visuals from the night as well?

Depending on what sort of design you’re looking for you could have your guests add their pictures from your photo booth on the night. Or leave sections for photos to go in when your guest book is empty so that you can add them after the fact.

That way you’ll be able to look at your photos and reminisce on the memories and fun of the night at the same time.

Mugs

Need to add more to your kitchen collection? Throw out the norms and create a cute set of mugs for you and your spouse! They could be serious photos from when you tied the knot or those fun snaps that have been captured throughout the day.

This is a cute way to see your photos every day, though bear in mind you do run the risk of breaking your photos! These will certainly be a conversation starter the next time your parents pop in for a coffee.

Peg and cork displays

Cork and peg displays are popular for both weddings and in the home. This is a fun and more casual way to display your photos and could work perfectly in your bedroom or in a home office. This is also a great way to display photos that you want to switch out every now and then.

Collage

If you’re stuck on something to get your spouse for your first wedding anniversary then this could be it. The first anniversary is traditionally paper, so create a collage of all your favourite moments from your wedding and have it framed.

You could go for a cute love heart design, an animal, or whatever shape you choose. Be creative and see what you can come up with or have someone else do the hard work for you!

Jewellery

Take your wedding with you everywhere you go with a photo locket, bracelet or brooch. Your photo may be small but that doesn’t mean that it’s less meaningful.
