Cinematic wedding films that still feel like your actual day
Hi, I'm Nathan. I've filmed more than 300 weddings across Melbourne and Victoria over the last eight years, and the thing I care about most is that your wedding film feels like you. Not a staged production and not an hour of posed shots pulling you away from your guests, just your day as it actually happened: the small touches, the happy tears, your dad's speech and the d-floor going off, all captured with a cinematic look and a calm presence behind the camera.
Most couples tell me afterwards that they barely noticed I was there. That's the goal. The sweeping drone shots and the cinematic feel come from how I shoot and edit, not from directing you, so you get a film that looks epic but still feels real.
What you get with every wedding film
- A 4K cinemascope showreel shot on Blackmagic cinema cameras, with a soundtrack we build together
- A teaser film within days of the wedding, so you have something to share while the buzz is still there
- Instagram edits ready to post, plus a party edit of the late night action on the bigger packages
- Your full ceremony and speeches, so the vows and the toasts are never lost
- Sweeping drone footage of your venue, weather and venue permitting
- One wedding a day, so you have my full attention from getting ready to the last dance
Packages (20% off for Easy Weddings couples)
- The Cinematic Experience, 9 hours. Usually $5,000, $4,000 with the Easy Weddings discount. The full day from getting ready through to the late night party action, a 7 to 10 minute cinematic showreel, teaser, Insta edit, party edit and the full ceremony and speeches. This is the one most couples go for.
- Standard Package, 6 hours. Usually $3,900, $3,120 with the discount. Ceremony, speeches, first dance, cake cutting and everything in between, with a 5 minute showreel, teaser and Insta edit.
- Basic Package, 3 hours. Usually $2,200, $1,760 with the discount. Perfect for intimate weddings and elopements: the full ceremony plus a 3 minute highlight film, teaser and social edit.
Extra hours are $250 each and everything is flexible, so if your day doesn't fit neatly into one of those, tell me what you're planning and I'll shape it around you.
Where I film
I'm based in Kew and film all over Melbourne and regional Victoria: the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Dandenong Ranges, Macedon Ranges, Geelong and the Bellarine, the Surf Coast and Gippsland, and I'm always happy to travel further (including a Hunter Valley wedding this year). Recent and upcoming weddings include Quat Quatta, the W Hotel Melbourne, San Remo Ballroom, the Royal Exhibition Building, Marybrooke Manor, The Little Vineyard, Poets Lane, Zonzo Estate and Scrub Hill.

How booking works
Send an enquiry with your date and venue and I'll reply within the hour during business hours (or first thing in the morning if it's late) with availability and a few films to watch. If it feels right we jump on a quick call, you lock the date in with a deposit, and I only ever take one wedding a day. Closer to the day I send a short questionnaire, we build your soundtrack together, and your teaser lands within a few days of the wedding.

About
I started Nathan Waters Film more than eight years ago and I've now filmed over 300 weddings across Melbourne and Victoria. The real moments are still what get me: a dad losing it mid-speech, grandparents on the dance floor, the quiet two minutes you get to yourselves at sunset. I shoot on Blackmagic cinema cameras in 4K cinemascope, fly the drone when the weather plays nice, and edit every film myself so nothing gets lost between your day and the final cut.
