I honestly get a lot of joy from capturing a wedding because I am capturing a unique love story between two people. I offer you a personalised service and I don't treat your wedding day as "just another wedding". You only communicate with me which means those little details we talk about in our initial meeting aren't lost between the salesperson the videographer and editor as I do all of it.
On the wedding day, I keep things simple and easy as it is just me not a tribe of people holding cameras. I don't get you to do anything weird or awkward in front of the camera. I just capture the moments as they happen with precision and excellence.
The editing process then allows me to shift gears from videographer, to storyteller as I create your own personal film about the love you have for each other, including your amazing wedding day!
It really is a privilege for me to share these moments with couples and if you had the chance to be a ‘fly on the wall’ in my editing suite, it wouldn’t be an uncommon sight to see me getting teary-eyed as your love story starts to unfold on the screen as I piece it together.
I am humbled to receive feedback years after a wedding from clients who still love their video and have even shown their kids. For me to know that so many clients can re-live those special memories as they journey through the seasons of life together brings a smile to my face and makes me want to capture more memories for people.

Hi there, my name is Steven Beck I am a professional Cinematographer and Editor. I started Steven Beck Media in 2011 as I wanted to offer a personalised, quality service to my clients. I have been in the media industry since 2004 and in that time I have filmed and edited countless wedding films, corporate videos, TV adverts, documentaries and other life events. I am fun and easy going and I don't take control over your day I let things happen naturally which actually makes the best video.

I have huge respect for photographers and I understand that they are trying to get the best shots too. I work alongside your photographer and let them do what they need to do. I am aware of where they are and what shots they are trying to get so if I am in the way I quickly move if I can.
Yes I do. I love to see different parts of our beautiful world. When I produce your quote I factor in those extra expenses that are incurred for traveling.
I do use multiple cameras I always have, specially during those moments like your ceremony, speeches and bridal dance. Having more than one camera means I can capture more memories of the day.
Yes. Even though I use multiple cameras it is usually just me there on the day. Some weddings do require a second camera operator because logistically it is impossible to capture everything. I will suggest this if I think it is needed.
Sound is a huge part of your wedding day and capturing it is just as important as the video. I use a variety of recorders and microphones to insure I capture it clearly. I put a microphone recorder on the groom so it picks up your vows. I will try and get a direct line from your celebrant/minister and band/DJ to capture those moments clearly. My attitude is to have as many audio sources as possible because you can’t capture those moments again.
I make sure I try and blend in which includes wearing appropriate wedding clothing. Most of my clients tell me “I hardly noticed you there”. I am always aware and courteous of your guests and hate to get in their way.
