Are wedding venues a good investment?

They're the highest turnover of the whole wedding industry, but wouldn't they also have the highest cost to run?

Yes, I believe your wedding venue is a good investment and bookings from brides/grooms should be made early on in the decision making process because the event venue is the underpinning of most of the other planning, eg. music, lighting, photography, accommodation, decorating, food/drink offering.... Wedding venues are very expensive to run and the planning of a good wedding takes time on the part of the couple and their guests.

Wedding venues are a good investment if your research into the industry, projection and business plan is completed for at a min of 5 years.  To gain ideas on benching please click ATO websit benchmarking https://www.ato.gov.au/misc/downloads/pdf/qc22307.pdf. Every venue will have its own special attraction, so location, market and costings all effect your investment dollar. Seek plenty of mentors in the market, a competent/relationship building bank and accountant  so you obtain the best success.  Wishing you every success

This really depends on the location, the style of the venue and it's history. Are you competing with lots of other venues in the same location, does your venue have a unique style or a blank canvas for bride's to create their wedding. Do you have convienient parking, is their accomodation close - all the factors come into account. They can be a great investment & very rewarding - being a part of someone's wedding & seeing their dreams come true is worth every effort you put in.

Venues are a hyper competitive market and can be a risky investment, however if you can find a way to offer something unique they are worth the investment

A wedding venue is a good investment if specialise and you target one particular part of the market.

The running costs depend on the type of venue you propose.  That is also refleced in the price you charge.
