Both options are available and work well in our Ocean View event space. It’s all down to personal preference, we can cater for all our couple’s needs.

Hi There

Either works well. It just depends if you have many formalities for your Wedding. If you do- we would recommend you go for the banquet style of service. If you're wanting more of a party and lots of dancing then we recommend you go for a cocktail style.

It just depends on how formal you'd like the wedding.

It's really a personal choice, banquet is definetly more formal and ideal if your thinking of a traditional wedding. Cocktail style gives your guests more opportunity to mingle but you will also find the older generation want somewhere to sit down. You can have a bit of both, go for a sit down dinner and then move everyone outside to the alfresco area for dancing after the formalities. This way you get the best of both worlds.

At Amora Hotel Riverwalk we suggest either option. Our Courtyard Marquee can accommodate up to 140 guests with the plated option or 200 cocktail style. It depends on the style of wedding you want but either option would give you a wonderful wedding!

If you have any further quesitons please do let us know.

We notice more and more of our couples opt for cocktail style catering combined with a few tables and chairs (to seat approx 40). Share entree and dessert platters make it easy for grazing in a cocktail style reception. Due to the vibe of our outdoor rustic venue a cocktail style reception suits our more casual atmosphere. Yet couples are still choosing sit down dining even if they hire food trucks, ie. gourmet pizza, paella, gnochhi, etc.

Both are great! It would be a personal preference of style. I do love cocktail and is perfect for our venue setting, taking in the location of the deck and lawns with absolute beachfont views. Our cocktail menu has a combination of small, big and sweet tastes included. The small & big tastes are the savoury items and will be circulated over a 2hr period before moving into the sweets to finish.
