Opened in April 2012, The Grounds is built on the philosophy of creating experiences for communities through quality products, innovations and an ever-evolving vision.

Remaining true to the sites heritage of organic industries, which originally included tanneries, wool washing factories and market gardens, The Grounds provides a wholesome, produce-driven menu that is fresh, fun and innovative.

The initial concept of The Grounds was born from entrepreneurial duo Ramzey Choker and Jack Hanna who had a vision to turn the then industrial concrete car park into a thriving urban sanctuary, designed as a welcoming space to bring people together.

It was a fairytale wedding in the most beautiful venue we could have ever imagined ourselves to get married in. We were so overwhelmed with how much the Grounds of Alexandria staff did to create what was essentially the most perfect day of our lives.

Madison, our wedding coordinator, we owe so much to you! You answered every long email with attention to detail, patience and friendliness. You were a godsend to our wedding and we thank you forever! The staff members on the day were just as attentive and amazing at the customer service they provided. Well done to the Grounds for an amazing floral space and most supportive staff members.

From the enquiry, to the process of planning the day, to the actual wedding day, Chris was fantastic to work with and went above and beyond. Chris is a talented DJ and set an amazing atmosphere at our wedding reception. Our guests were singing during dinner and you can tell Chris can read the crowd. Our guests who we did not expect to dance or who are really shy - got up and danced the entire night! We couldn't recommend Savvy Entertainment enough, 100% one of the highlights of our wedding day!

This venue is simply out of this world, every photo had a different backdrop that made it feel like you were stepping into another beautiful world. The food was incredible and the fairy lights were magical. The petting zoo was also fun!
