The spectacular clifftop garden is the perfect location for your ceremony, pre-reception drinks & canapes can be held on the terrace balcony, both with incomparable ocean views. The versatile inner terrace and restaurant dining room are reception spaces designed to be a blank canvas for you to decorate and style as you wish. At Jonah’s every wedding is completely unique, reflecting the personal style and taste of the couple.

After more than 95 years of operation at Jonah’s, we have had the pleasure of hosting thousands of weddings. Our team across the restaurant, kitchen, hotel reception and events are passionate about delivering seamless weddings through every step of the planning and execution process. Our Terrace Wedding Package is perfect an intimate wedding, A luxury space including clifftop garden ceremony, canapés on the terrace balcony and reception in our private terrace dining room.

Enjoy the use of the entire Jonah's Restaurant for your wedding. Including your ceremony in our clifftop garden with the backdrop of the ocean taking centre stage as you exchange vows. Have your canape hour on our stunning terrace balcony and indulge in restaurant quality cuisine and award winning wines at your restaurant reception. On site accommodation completes the all inclusive venue.

Jonah's has a few options for events:

LUNCH: Guest arrival 11am, Ceremony start time 11:30am, Reception timing 12pm - 5pm

DINNER: Guest arrival 5pm, Ceremony start time 5:30pm, Reception timing 6pm - 11pm

EXCLUSIVE 24 HOUR HIRE: Whole venue for 24 luxurious hours from 11 am to 11 am the next day. 

All Wedding Packages include the following:

  • Dedicated wedding coordinator to ensure your day runs smoothly
  • Access to the Terrace balcony overlooking the picturesque Whale Beach
  • Outdoor terrace seating area with Coco Republic furniture and Tuuci parasol umbrellas

Yes you can! We have a beautiful ceremony lawn in our clifftop garden with sweeping views of Whale Beach and the Pacific Ocean. 

Both our Exclusive and Terrace Wedding Packages include a ceremony on our clifftop lawn. A Jonah's ceremony includes the following:

  • 40 white chairs
  • Signing table & chairs
  • Coordinator on the day 
  • Wet weather backup option 

Yes we do, we have 11 luxury Ocean Retreat rooms onsite for you and your guests to enjoy. The bride and groom as well as their guests recieve a special rate when staying on the night of the wedding. The accommodation package includes a 2 course a la carte breakfast the following morning. Enquire with our events team for rates.

No we don't. We are a full service venue and we have an award winning wine list with around 1,600 wines to select from so we guarantee that our expert Sommelier can put together the perfect beverage selection for your special day.

We recommend booking in a site visit with some one from the events team so that they can show you around the property and talk you through the details for your wedding at Jonah's. Email our Sales and Events Manager to organise your visit. You are also welcome to have dinner in our restaurant as a great way to experience the service and restaurant quality cuisine that your guests will experience at your wedding.

Our wedding at Jonah’s was absolutely perfect. We held our ceremony outside, overlooking the stunning ocean views, which made the day feel incredibly special and memorable. The food was excellent and we received so many compliments from our 120 guests. The drinks were also great, and the space worked so well for both dining and celebrating. The beautiful location created an unforgettable atmosphere, and the dance floor absolutely went off all night. Leading up to the wedding, Izzy (coordinator at Jonah’s) made us feel calm and supported every step of the way. She helped bring everything together seamlessly, was always happy to answer any questions, and made the whole planning process feel stress-free. On the day itself, everything ran smoothly thanks to her organisation and attention to detail. We would highly recommend Jonah’s to anyone planning a wedding or special event because of the exceptional food, professional organisation, amazing atmosphere, and breathtaking setting. We had absolutely the best day and couldn’t have chosen a better venue for our wedding.

We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue and stay. From the moment we started planning, Izzy (Jonah’s Events Manager) was very responsive and on top of things, while still keeping things relaxed. The preferred vendor recommendations Izzy provided made the whole process so easy, and we were very happy with the vendors we chose. All the staff were amazing throughout our stay, and across every detail (including saving us our wedding cake to enjoy the next day!). The food was also incredible - one of our favourite restaurants, with an extensive wine list and great sommelier. The location and views are stunning and made the whole weekend feel even more special. We also stayed for three nights and loved every moment, including the best couples massage we’ve ever had. It was also great to have access to the entire venue on the day exclusively, including the large getting ready room with its own balcony in a separate building. We had so many compliments from our guests saying it was the best wedding they’d been to, including the food. We can’t wait to come back and celebrate future anniversaries here.

We really appreciate the excellent job that you and the Jonahs staff did in the lead up and on the day! Everything was excellent beyond our expectations. The food seemed even better than when we tried it on the tasting, and the wine pairing worked very well. All guests gave very high comments - several have asked to know the wine list so they can buy some. We really felt that everything went better than we could have imagined. Even though we had to change the run sheet multiple times during the day, because the translations made speeches take much longer than anticipated, your staff found a way to make everything run smoothly, and communicated with me to make things work
