Couldn’t recommend this venue enough! Abbie and Kaylah were always quick to respond to emails and reassured us that everything will work out perfectly.. and it did! We had the most magical day! This venue is a place where the sky is the limit, you can create your perfect day, whatever that may look like. All our guests raved about the food and set of up the venue. If you are looking for a venue that you can have the ceremony, have amazing photos and reception in the one place - this is it! We also had to change our wedding date 3 times due to covid and we wouldn’t of trusted any other venue to take care of us the way it the team at the shearing shed did! Highly recommend!

From the very first visit to The Shearing Shed, Aimee and I knew we had found something special. The venue instantly captured our hearts with its warm and inviting atmosphere, and it turned out to be the absolute perfect place for our wedding. Our ceremony at the billabong was simply breathtaking—a stunning, tranquil setting that felt like a dream. From start to finish, the entire team, led by the incredible Abbie, went above and beyond to ensure our day was flawless. Their dedication, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference, not just for us but for every one of our guests. Speaking of our guests, the feedback has been overwhelming! So many have told us it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended, and a huge part of that is thanks to the exceptional team at The Shearing Shed. The food? Absolutely next-level—the best wedding meal many had ever experienced. The seamless coordination? Flawless. The attention to detail? Impeccable. Every request was met with warmth and enthusiasm, making sure our day was everything we had hoped for—and more. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. To Abbie and the entire team—thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding day as perfect as it could be. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that delivers on every level, The Shearing Shed is the one. You won’t regret it! With Love, Andrew & Aimee

Eloping

Hi, we are looking to elope. Most packages we’ve seen for venues come with a celebrant and photographer. We’d like my partners brother to perform the ceremony but as he isn’t a registered celebrant we had looked at doing the legal bits during the week at the registry office. We also don’t require a photographer as we already have one from previous events we’d like to use again. Most elopement packages come with both of these things as a must have inclusion. Any suggestions??

The Shearing Shed - Phillip Island

Hi Emma,

Some venues give you the option of ceremony only hire which gives you use of the space for the ceremony without having all the elopement extras.

Please keep in mind that this is often limited in what days can be booked as days such as Thursday to Sunday are often reserved for weddings looking to book a full ceremony and reception package.

Another alternative would be to find a public space (check to see if permits or permissions are required) and elope there with the people and vendors of your choosing.

Very different options with very different cost points. The main thing to remember, it to stay true to what you want to creat efor your day.

We are happy to chat with you to discuss options available through The Shearing Shed.
